13.01.2022 What a difference a day makes! This sunken garden bed had become overgrown with Ivy on one side, and had weeds and lawn encroaching from the other. Our team raised the ground level and prepared the ground to be a healthy, happy lawn. Most people may have torn out the Ivy altogether, but our lead Gardener saw the potential, and wow - the ivy and that rock wall just look amazing! 11.01.2022 You don't always get to see the end results of the gardens you install. Last year we transformed this courtyard, with the central feature being a beautiful Weeping Cherry in a circular bed, edged with a custom-made steel ring. Recently we were sent a picture of how it looks now, and it's looking absolutely spectacular.

11.01.2022 Throwback to greener times now the hedging season is upon us! These incredible conifer hedges were very satisfying to work on. The arch had never been trimmed so shaping that was a good challenge, and will only look better after subsequent hedging. The garden was sloping and a cherry picker was out of the question, but luckily our head gardener Aidan has an Advanced Scaffolding licence and was able to assemble/disassemble this working frame in different parts of the garden to hedge safely and efficiently. #gardening #gardenmaintenance #armidalensw #newengland #hedging #conifers #springtime #spring2019 #scaffolding

10.01.2022 We had the privilege of pruning a heritage listed conifer hedge in town last week that is well over 100 years old. At over 4m wide and sitting flush against the house, it required a cherry picker to hedge the top! 02.01.2022 Sometimes it really is amazing what our gardeners can do! This hedge was so wild and overgrown, any shape or form was barely visible to the untrained eye. In one short day they turned this mass of greenery, into a classic country hedge. What an incredibly satisfying finish for this beautiful country garden.

It's a beautiful space with such a broad range of plants, and the people involved represent an incredible wealth of gardening knowledge. We ran into Jo, the co-founder and really the soul of the garden, as well as a surprise little visitor who's been rescued and cared for by the lovely Charlie. It's open Tues, Thurs, Sat, and Sun from 1pm - well worth a sticky beak!
