17.01.2022 This week we said thank you very much to the Centennial Coal Employees Charity fund for their generous donation of $4000 towards our bathroom renovation! We had a grant approved by Susan Templeman Federal Member for Macquarie and fundraising support from Kookaburra families and the local community and the Centennial Coal Employees donation made our dream a reality! Thank you very much!!

02.01.2022 As part of our Community Engagement plans (Quality Area 6) we welcomed Teachers and Students from Megalong Public School and Uncle Graeme who is a local Aboriginal Elder. We talked about ANZAC day and the symbols and flags associated with it and got to see and hold some genuine Indigenous tools and boomerangs! Then we did some craft and made some handprint wreaths that Stephanie from Megalong will add to theirs to place at the Cenotaph on Anzac Day. We coloured in some wreaths to take home as well. The children listened very closely and respectfully to Uncle Graeme and learnt some new and interesting information. A great day!

01.01.2022 Kookaburra Kindy is still taking enrolments for 2021 so if your child is 4 and going to school in 2022,they will be given priority over other age groups. Children over 3 years of age are also welcome to enrol. The State Government has announced that they are committed to continuing the ‘Free Preschool’ funding for 2021. In continuing down the same path as 2020, this funding will mean that 15 hours of Preschool per week (2 Days per week) will continue to be fully funded by the Government and there is no fee for these days. All extra bookings, including third day enrolments or occasional care days, are still charged at $35 as they are not funded. Please call us on 4787 8977 for more information and to set up a time to visit our lovely Preschool and meet our fabulous Educators
