19.01.2022 At Kookootonga we are keeping a close eye and making every effort to adapt to the latest Government advice on COVID-19. We ask that you do not visit Kookootonga if feeling unwell and that every visitor observes appropriate social distancing whilst at the farm. There is plenty of space to do so! To protect both customers and staff we have made several changes. For example we are now encouraging card payments to minimise cash handling. It may be handy to know that we usually have far fewer customers arrive during the week, rather than weekends. Sundays are usually our busiest days. As things are changing so quickly we constantly update www.kookootonga.com.au best check that before you visit.

18.01.2022 The world is changing around us and its how we respond that makes a difference. Please remember to check on family, friends, and neighbours around you and try ...and support small businesses where you can. We are all in this together. We have a list of Farm Fresh Produce, Local and Regional where you can find a farmer, grower, producer near you. Our farm gate trails will continue in some places as well as our farmer's markets around Sydney. Shopping in the great outdoors sounds nice right now. Pick Your Own fruit will continue thanks to our amazing farmers and we ask that you practice social distancing and also please stay at home if you are feeling unwell. Please follow our page for daily updates as things progress. We have you covered with the original fresh seasonal, nutritious fruit and veg thanks to our harvest members. Stack up on what really matters - fresh, nutritious F&V. www.harvesttrailsandmarkets.com.au/produce/

15.01.2022 We had a great weekend, lots of happy visitors collecting plenty of great quality chestnuts and walnuts. Heaps of fun and laughs! Laura and I chatted about this recipe today, great for her husband who is gluten intolerant. Google "Hugh Fearnley-Whitingstall's chestnut and chocolate truffle cake" - you will be glad you did! More days of road repair from bushfire damage this week, but DEFINITELY open next weekend and every day of the week from next weekend until mid/late April. As always check www.kookootonga.com.au before your visit it will have the latest details.

13.01.2022 This weekend is perfect for chestnut picking. Great chestnuts are in abundance throughout the farm. Some walnuts fell on Friday night because of the rain and wind, they should keep on falling throughout April. Our web site is a reliable place to go to for all sorts of information to help you plan your visit. www.kookootonga.com.au. Hope to see you soon!

07.01.2022 As of today the road between Mount Wilson and Mount Irvine is undergoing urgent repair of damage from bushfires and a recent rainstorm. We sincerely hope that Blue Mountains City Council will have the works completed by the 13th March, but that is weather dependent and completely beyond our control . Meanwhile the road is closed to all traffic between 7am and 3pm and only opens after those hours to local traffic. Apologies for any inconvenience, and the moment we know that the road is opened to the public we will let you know. Once the road opens (fingers crossed by the 14th March) we are open EVERY DAY until late April.

06.01.2022 The road to Kookootonga will be open this weekend. We are delighted to announce that we will be open for pick your own delicious chestnuts and walnuts from 9-4 tomorrow. From Monday 16th - Friday 20th the roadworks will start again from 7-3 and hopefully all over by then. After that we are open next weekend and EVERY DAY. www.kookootonga.com.au
