T...he Three Black Hens series aims to make story time and learning to read a fabulously fun experience. Specifically designed for early literacy preschool stage 1 reading, each of the Three Black Hens stories have at least one sight word on every page. The books are intentionally designed to have a minimalist approach to colour, and with less than 200 words per book, each page layout is geared toward simple text, easy reading and fostering the child’s imagination. 22.01.2022 Hoppy Tuesday, everyone! At Kool Beanz Academy, we recognise the environment as the third teacher of the child (after family & educators). We are often blessed with accidental learning opportunities throughout our days thanks to regular visits from frogs, lizards, butterflies & birds. This week, the children are noticing the season changing around them and have enjoyed both sunny and rainy outdoor play.

Cooking with children is a wonderful way to support their motor skill development, coordination and maths concepts as well as providing an opportunity to model positive eating habits & discussing nutrition. Plus, it's delicious and fun!
