25.01.2022 Loddon Valley Merino Field Day - Friday 28th February. We are taking a display to the Serpentine Recreation Reserve along with 9 other studs and 4 studs with on property displays. Theres a chance to win an Advantage Feeder on the day with the pen of 3 Ram lamb competition. Guest speaker, Dr. John Steinfort will be speaking on Sheep Freeze Branding- Breech health for life. At 10am and 1.30pm (Repeat discussions).

These are are usual Bendigo Sale Rams we would offer and have reserved these especially for this sale. All these rams are 2018 drop. They were displayed at the Loddon Valley Merino Field Day. 18.01.2022 Well deserved, we are so proud to have been inspired by and involved with Stan.

18.01.2022 We had a terrific day at our sale yesterday. It exceeded our expectations and it is still sinking in. The top price was $7000 for lot 1. to John Barty and family Beverley Stud for their No.2 stud. 49 of 50 rams sold averaging $2329. All 24 White Suffolk’s sold to a top of $1300 and averaged $960. Thank you to all the buyers and underbidders for the great support. We are extremely humbled by the result.

14.01.2022 Lot 5 at Koole Vale Ram Sale 14th October 2020. BR 352 is grandson of West Plains Mercenary and one of the best wools in the sale. Long stapled, white and a bold medium crimp with good tests. BR352 has good barrel, back end and nice short toes. A strong head and soft muzzle makes this ram an interesting sire and one of my favourites. 19.2m 2.6sd 13.5sd 99.8cf Body weight 95.5kg

11.01.2022 North East/Benalla Sale results. Sold 5 to a top of $3000 average $2200. We won the Champion Wool Sale Ram, sold for $2750 to G.Tuohey. We joined the North East group in 1999, in 20 years I think this was the best overall sale to date. Well done to everyone. Thanks to all the buyers and underbidders. 08.01.2022 Hamilton Sheepvention. In the show we won Champion Medium Ewe, Reserve Champion Medium Ram and Best group of 3 Rams. In the sale, our pen of 5 made the final 5 in the short wool section. Our rams topped at $3000. Thanks to the buyers and underbidders.

08.01.2022 Anyone shearing in the next few months please consider keeping a fleece or two aside for this competition and great cause. MND. The Gleeson family have been long time clients of Koole Vale, our very first to be exact. Dennis always took a keen interest in what we were doing and supported us at sales when we were trying to establish our stud. They were successful winning the Champion Commercial Fleece in 2013 and Reserve Champion Commercial Fleece in 2009 in this very competition.

Rachels sons cant wait follow in dads footsteps at their farm in south-western NSW - so they practise shearing on their teddies! ...Ollie, 11, Billy, 9, Hugh, 7, and Charlie, 4, have all been practising since they could walk, spending hours in the loungeroom pretending to be in the shed. This past holiday is the first time the boys have ventured into the shearing shed, and they cant get enough! Rachel says Ollie is nearly strong enough to start learning the real deal and he cant wait. : Rachel Fitzgerald

04.01.2022 Koole Vale G5 Would have been our lead Show ram for 2020. Probably the most balanced ram we have bred. G5 carries a beautiful soft white Medium to Fine-medium wool that has great nourishment, length and density. It is grown on a loose soft skin. His frame has tremendous barrel and width for a heavy cutting ram. He stands wide in the chest and rear. Weighing 144kg in July. Having also been used in December, his lambs show all of their sires attributes, we are planning to use... him extensively in the stud. 02.01.2022 Representing our local Heathcote Show we won Champion Fleece at the Central and Upper Goulburn Group final, this fleece will be off to the State VAS final, Ava and Tom represented the Kilmore Show (where they won Champion Fleece) and won Reserve Champion at the Group final! To top it all off we have had 29mm rain last week and 24mm today!

02.01.2022 2019 Ram Sale We had a great sale yesterday selling 58 of 59 rams offered. 37 Merinos and Poll Merinos topped at $3000 twice, both for Polls. Gary Griffin bought a BR1080 son and J & N Dickinsons top price was by Seymour Park 68. Top price Horn was purchased by C.Cann for $2500. 37 Rams averaged $1643. We were pleased to welcome five new buyers. All 21 White Suffolks sold and averaged $1100. Top price was $1500 to James Giampietro. This is by far our best sale to date. Thanks to all the buyers and underbidders for supporting our sale.

01.01.2022 We received a sample of cloth that will be used to make the baggy green caps for the Australian Test cricket team. We donated a sample of wool for this great AWI project. A great promotion for wool and a bit surreal that in every new baggy green will have a little piece of Koole Vale!
