15.01.2022 The current events taking place in the US have reminded us what is equally important here in Australia: developing a balanced, diverse view of the world, and how it is experienced by different groups of people. We begin early with racial literacy at our centres, embedding Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander perspectives in our curriculum year-round. This week, our centres have also been participating in National Reconciliation Week - a time for non-Indigenous and Indigenous... peoples to come together to build and to celebrate the respectful relationships they share. Recently, Kool Kids Mermaid Waters recognised National Sorry Day by extending their morning acknowledgment with a flower ceremony and created a reconciliation rainbow of handprints to symbolise togetherness. We are so grateful to our educators who continue to enrich the learning experiences of children in this way, developing a world full of empathy, kindness and acceptance of diversity - the kind of world we all want to live in.

11.01.2022 Pyjama Day at Kool Kids Nerang Here at Kool Kids Nerang, we recently celebrated PJ Day! Our kindergarten classes had a runway show where the children showed their friends their pyjamas as they strutted down the catwalk. They also spent time on our sportsfield engaging in parachute play. Meanwhile, our adorable baby friends spent pyjama day together practicing hygenie, building on friendships with their peers and Educators, and engaging in story time!
