20.01.2022 You may have read an article in today’s Herald Sun regarding centres increasing childcare fees from tomorrow. Please note Kool Kidz Mill Park WILL NOT be increasing our daily fees in the near future. We feel that 2020 was a very tough year for our community and it is not the right time to forward on a price increase to families who may still not be working or working limited hours. We are here for you and your needs each and every day and look forward to again in 2021, providing your son or daughter with quality early childhood education and care. https://www.heraldsun.com.au//0bbf4bee502a4ec6da1ce823460a

05.01.2022 Today our Kinder children were excited to sort the lids that we have been collecting for the Lids4Kids program into different colours ensuring they didn’t have any white liners still in them. They were working as team work. One child getting the lifs from our collection box whilst the other children placed them into small buckets and another group sorted them into bags. They ask what were going to use them for and we explained that they would be recycled into prosthetic lim...bs for children. The children participated in this activity and learnt how to work in a team. They learnt about sustainability, how we can give things new life, and how we are saving the environment by reducing the rubbish that goes to landfill. #recycling #Lids4Kids #earlychildhoodeducation

05.01.2022 We are continuing in our 4th year of our ELLA Program with our 4 year old kinder children learning the Italian language. What is ELLA? Early Learning Languages Australia (ELLA) is a digital, play-based language learning program for preschool children. It opens up a world of cultural possibilities for children early in life. This Australian Government initiative inspires children by driving a genuine interest in a new language and culture. ... Children learn Italian using play-based apps called The Polyglots. (A polyglot is someone who is multilingual.) They use the apps on tablet devices at preschool. The apps were designed with help from language, early childhood and technology experts. Benefits of ELLA A new language ELLA is a proven method of language discovery for preschoolers. It can also keep them interested in learning a language at school. Cultural competency Children learn to respect diversity as they learn about new cultures. ELLA encourages families to share home languages too. Cognitive and social skills ELLA develops children’s social, thinking and digital skills. It supports their literacy, and can even improve memory and concentration. If you would like your child to participate in our Kinder program in 2021, please send us an online enquiry and we will take you through our centre https://www.koolkidzchildcare.com.au/mill-park/

03.01.2022 In a Media Release earlier today Premier Daniel Andrews announced that the Victorian government will be providing additional funding for Kindergarten services in 2021. The funding is encouraging families to enrol their child/ren in Kindergarten and experience some fee relief. At this point no details have been provided around how this funding will be rolled out and what the support will entail. We can however confirm that Long Day Care Kindergarten services will receive suppo...rt that will translate to families experiencing a saving of around $2000 in fees. We are incredibly excited about this initiative and welcome any relief for our families in this challenging time. As we receive more details we will share these with you.

02.01.2022 As you would have heard by now, Victoria enters a 5-day lockdown at 11:59pm tonight. Childcare is excluded from this lockdown. All Kool Kidz Childcare services will be open as normal to ALL children from Monday to Wednesday. No workers permits are required. Of course, we will be adhering to the health and safety advice provided by the government and continuing our stringent cleaning routines, handwashing protocols and mask-wearing requirements to keep the community safe.... If you have any questions, please call and speak with Natasha or Nicole. We have done this before Victorians. Stay home, stay safe and let’s hope things are back to normal shortly.

01.01.2022 Each week our 3 year old kinder children get to participate in their Bush Kinder Excursion. Today a group of children went and collected different sized leaves to compare as part of one of the planned experiences for the session. As the children collected their leaves, they also saw some trains go past towards mernda and also back towards the city. And weren’t they excited.
