21.01.2022 This is very frustrating, yes it is easy for most of us, no it not the fault of the police doing their job under weird instructions, it is the idiots who are making the rules. I have helped complete the permit online (which by the way is ridiculous), having to wait a few days for a phone to see if your application has even been accepted is just plain crazy. For some of us it not as simple as getting photo ID, we need to show some compassion and common sense. Thank you Peter Walsh for having a crack!

17.01.2022 Dear Koondrook, Barham and surrounding communities, As of 1st February, 2021, we are happy to officially announce Koondrook Licensed Post Office has sold. We apologise for not letting our valued customers know personally, but unfortunately it was out of our control. As they say, it ain't over till the fat lady is singing ...... La la la... The success of the Post Office is from the support we have received from you, the customers. The loyalty, kindness and patience you have shown us over the past 11.5 year has been amazing. From the early morning banter through the Post Boxes and the general discussions covering all topics from the weather, the races, the footie, your family adventures and your really bad jokes! I won't miss the early mornings but will miss the morning conversations. The kids, well what can I say. I love having them in the shop, except when they have a yo-yo biscuit from the Long Paddock! We are lucky as a community to have such gorgeous kids. I will miss their cheeky grins, out the door dinosaur. All this would not have been possible without the amazing staff I have had the privilege of working along side me. Kelsey,Linda, Onnie, Em, Maddie and Jack, from the bottom of my heart I can not thank you enough. We have been extremely lucky to have had the opportunity to run our own business with the support of Australia Post. The support from within Australia Post has continually been amazing. From our area managers, the surrounding Post Offices, who would be more than happy to send products for my customers overnight and the support team on the phone, (boy did they cop a flocking from me especially at the start). Sincerely grateful to Col Page. He has been nothing but helpful with everything PO from the day we purchased from him and Ellie on the 1st July 2009. One of the hardest parts of the job for me was going through the hardship with you. The tears shared were heart wrenching as you shared some of your saddest moments. I feel very privileged to think that you could share those very personal moment with me. We would like to take this opportunity to sincerely thank you and ask you to continually show your kindness and patience to Luke and Cherrille Boschert, who are looking forward to becoming part of this amazing community. Luke has a wealth of experience having owned his own Post Office and recently working in Parkdale Post Office. With the help and support of his wife Cherrille they are looking forward to meeting everyone. Maybe wear a name tag for a little time. For some of you......get to know your PO Box number! 17.01.2022 Hi all following from that post. I’ll remind everyone of the float. Rain hail or shine we’ll meet at Koondrook Park jump in and float to the Barham Boat ramp!! ...Or wherever I don’t care. If you finish up in Murrabit that’s ok!! Some good advise is remember these things. something to float on, no motors!, life jacket, water. There will be plenty of shake tins and a sausage sizzle. Finally I want to give a thank you to the awesome staff @ Murray River meats, Barham Meats and Glen and Mel at IGA for selfless contributions. It’s humbling when our community helps.
