21.01.2022 A great day at the shed today. Great work everyone for getting the old girls looking good for next Wednesday. The Jag is coming along nicely due to TC being on... annual leave for the past 2 weeks. Howdy put his expert painting skills to good use on the pockets and thanks to Coby at #Tamworthbunnings for matching the paint to perfection.

19.01.2022 Club member James Robertson's Series 2a military Land Rover was drafted back into service today for the Dawn Service at Wallabadah. Rosemary wreaths were laid on the bonnet as Wallabadah has no war memorial (yet). Well done to James and the other 38 locals in attendance for making the effort to revive the Anzac traditions in Wallabadah. Lest we forget

17.01.2022 PRE-31 TOUR 2020 cancelled: Our rally committee met last Thursday and the final decision was reluctantly made to postpone the Pre 1931 Rally yet again until Aut...umn 2021 when, hopefully, our Dubbo Antique Automobile Club can run the Autumn Tour as we had planned for 2020. The situation in Victoria and the increasing COVID numbers in Sydney and some regional areas of NSW have necessitated this decision. The new dates will be FRIDAY 30TH APRIL TO SUNDAY 2ND MAY with early entry available on Thursday 29th April. As from now we will be checking and re-booking venues for these dates. All entries will remain as is for now. No need to fill out a new entry form at this stage. I still have the entries for those who pulled out due to the clash with the Ford A National rally or for other reasons. Hopefully the cost of events will remain the same, but we will inform you if they have changed at all. At this stage all you need to do is to cancel your motel booking for September and re-book for the May dates. We are disappointed that we have to do this, but requirements for the gathering of large numbers of people are changing daily, together with the closure of some of our venues at this stage, making it near impossible to continue with our arrangements. Thank you for your understanding and we hope to see you all in May 2021 with an even bigger and better rally. Dubbo Antique Automobile Club https://www.facebook.com/DAACInc/

17.01.2022 Unfortunately our annual Christmas Gathering will not happen this year due to Tamworth Regional Council policy re: Covid and ........ Santa’s inability to trav...el. On a brighter note the tennis courts are close to usable, back fence needs to be constructed and included we will have a handball and practice tennis backboard plus at the other end of court a basketball/ netball setup. Can’t wait for the Covid restrictions to disappear and we can all get together again at the Piallamore Recreation Reserve. See more

When we know we can open to the public again, we will let you know. The Mens Shed group are still meeting every Thursday to enjoy tea and damper. The men are busy with restoration projects, woodworking, maintence & building. See more

06.01.2022 Meet Chrissie! In May 1954 (66 years ago) as a young lady, she purchased her first brand new FJ Holden Ute from F Gaukroger and Sons. What's different about thi...s story? Well, Chrissie still owns her pride and joy and it still looks like brand new. Not only that, the only thing that has been replaced is the tonneau cover. Everything is 100% original, including the odometer. Yep, 73942 miles! Chrissie and her Ute can't make our Farewell Holden Day next Saturday but her story is too good not to share! Thanks to Dave for sending the photos! Good onya Chrissie, we hope you and your Ute have many good miles in front of you yet! All the best from the entire team at F Gaukroger and Sons. See more
