25.01.2022 I came across this photo of Grand lodge (somewhere in the world) in days gone by and it bought back many memories of when I first joined Freemasonry attending Grand Lodge Quarterlies and installations. I am lucky to have seen many huge crowds of freemasons attending these meetings at Dallas Brooks Hall. THOSE WERE THE DAYS.
23.01.2022 Last night at our Febuary meeting we had our annual visitation from the Canterbury Lodge. This is always a great night which has continued between the lodges for 90 years. Both Lodges were entertained in the Lodge by Wor Bro John Reid PGstB giving us the lecture on the 3rd degree Tracing Board Here Posted are some of the photos of the evening
22.01.2022 ITS A LONG TIME BETWEEN DRINKS. Last Thursday Night the 28th of January the brethren opened the Koo Wee Rup Lodge for the first time in almost 12 months due to the Covid Pandemic. Our last meeting of the lodge was back in March 2020. The lodge was opened by the Wor Master and the Officers of the Koo Wee Rup Lodge under the strict distancing rules of our order where we conducted the business and then closed the lodge. It was a short but satisfying night enjoyed by all our attending brethren. Here is a few happy snaps
21.01.2022 Well the 2020 lodge season has begun out at Koo Wee Rup with our first meeting of the year held last night. What a great night we had, with a wonderful turn out of visitors from near and a far. The lodge was eventually opened in the 3rd degree to enable the officers and brethren of the lodge to raise Bro Simon Poletko to the sublime degree of a Master Mason. 18.01.2022 Well Brethren, still no lodge, so not many new posts on our page, however, I do have an interesting photo of one of our brethren. I happen to be watching a friend of mine's TV show (ozfish TV) on Sunday morning when who did I spot in the back ground in the Yellow top. None other than our own Bro Simon Poletko. Simon actually collected himself quiet a bit of airtime on the show. Well Done mate, I hope you taught them something. Simon Assured me that the show was taped in November long before Lockdown.
18.01.2022 It's the first Breakfast for the year at Koo Wee Rup Secondary Collage to day with 58 students having breakfast. Photo is of ladies and members that serve up the pikelets and toast with jam honey and vegemite.
13.01.2022 Lodges consist of more than just Lodge meetings. BBQ's & Working Bees are another duty. It's amazing how much you need to throw out after 97years
11.01.2022 Australia Day was live and kicking at the Koo Wee Rup Lodge today. We had the pleasure of the Dandenong Valley Historic Car Club visit us and they held their Australia Day car display at the lodge. R W Bro Linsay Tharle & W Bro Brian Sanders are members of the car club and organized the day. There certainly were some beautiful old cars on display so I thought that I would put up a few photos
10.01.2022 The Wor Master and the brethren of the Koo Wee Rup Lodge would like to wish, all the Brethren and their families of all the other Craft Lodges, as well as the members of all the other Masonic orders a very merry Xmas and a very happy New Year. We hope you are all well and safe and we are looking forward to seeing you all in the New Year.
07.01.2022 Today was the breakfast again at the Koo Wee Rup collage, but as the rain come down all morning so the numbers were down to with just 38 breakfasts served.
02.01.2022 This weekend our worshipful master, dug deep to do a good deed, donating just over 150 bails to farmers in need, with the help of some young blood, loaded it all on his truck and drove it himself up near orbost. We are lucky to have this pillar of our community leading us here at koo wee rup.
