25.01.2022 Good start to the week working in the sunshine on top of a building watching the world go by. If only humans could do away with work and concentrate on life. Unfortunately work calls and the realignment of donor antennas improving Redlands RSL reception after the construction company's scaffolding which created a natural faraday cage in front of the transmitters. Once down and utilising a directional grid antenna signal within building hit 5 bars and data speeds increased. I say job done.

09.01.2022 Creating mini DAS for Redlands RSL

08.01.2022 With 5G being touted as the next big thing it's important to remember that the Telcos aren't ready and won't be ready for a few years. The technology still has a lot of bridges to cross before is up and running. The moving of 3G resources to LTE spectrum has already started along with unforeseen problems. Recently on a site installation of Telstra repeater systems we encountered a transmission tower being converted unbeknown to some within the telco. The frequency itself wasn...'t the problem but the camping protocol was. The frequency was assigned to a primary camping position. So customers were instantly connected to the new test frequency causing constant dropouts as their phones ignored the stronger repeated signal. Eventually the repeated signal settled and became the dominate service. Throughout Brisbane know whilst these new changes take place we expect to some further teething problems. See more

06.01.2022 Nice little Optus install today. Had to repair the incorrectly installed TV booster installed by some handyman.

06.01.2022 SSAA Ripley needed a Telstra solution for their workshop area - a newly built colour bond shed completely isolated the remaining sheds from the incoming mobile phone signal. Installation of a single go unit in with a yagi antenna and three panel antennas saw the single increase from 3g to four bars 4g. with the outer panel facing the main workshop producing similar results throughout.

More than 4km of Australian standards approved Cat6 outdoor cable was hand drawn through with new racks, patch panels and routers installed. WIFI access points installed and checked.
