20.01.2022 Good afternoon, fellow self-isolators and quarantiners! My friends Brent Evans and Ben Norris recently launched a new podcast, Unwatchable, and invited me to jump on board to chat about films that were either critical or box office bombs (sometimes both) and attempt to discuss what works, what doesn't, and why it didn't connect with audiences and/or critics. Two episodes are currently up on Spotify and Anchor. In the first, Brent and Ben talk about THE SUNSET LIMITED, a litt...le known HBO Film directed by Tommy Lee Jones from a Cormac McCarthy script, adapted from his own play, and starring Tommy himself alongside Samuel L. Jackson. In the second hefty episode (which was actually recorded first lol), we discuss my own suggestion, BATMAN v SUPERMAN, where we dive deep (and where I try to defend) a film that many people probably think is pretty much indefensible. 14.01.2022 Had a great time digging deep into a film with questionable depth alongside Brent Evans and Ben Norris for Unwatchable! Michael Bay's action comedy magnum opus BAD BOYS II is certainly a ride and I certainly never expected to be talking about the importance of men's mental health when it came to this film and its director but 2020 is a weird time so why not!
