25.01.2022 Dear global masters and grandmasters! The 4th President of Korea Taekwondo Association Byung Jick Ro(1919-2015) was the 4thpresident of KTA(1966-1967).... He was founder of Song Moo Kwan that was founded in 1946. He held the first Korea Presidential Taekwondo Competition when he served as president of KTA. In the midst of chronic disputes and conflicts in the Taekwondo community, he also resigned from the president of KTA after serving only for about a year.

23.01.2022 Choi Hong Hi, the 3rd President of Korea Taekwondo Association The 3rd President of KTA was Choi Hong Hi(1918-2002). He served as president for about a year (1...965-1966). The official name of Taekwondo began on Aug. 5, 1965. Although the name Taekwondo was initially established in 1955, it was first used in 1965 by the KTA under the Korean Sports Association. In early 1965, Choi Hong Hi, who took office as the president of the Tae Soo Do Association, changed the name from Tae Soo Do to Taekwondo. He used the name Taekwondo when the reintegration of the Su Bak Do and Tae Soo Do Association failed, and changed the name of Korea Tae Soo Do Association to Korea Taekwondo Association. In addition, he established the International Taekwondo Federation (1966), just after being expelled from the 3rd president of KTA. Prior to the establishment of Kukkiwon, there were five Taekwondo presidents. Most of them, engulfed in conflict and strife, were primarily unstable leadership. He also served as president for about a year and was expelled.

15.01.2022 Dear global Taekwondo masters and grandmaster! In this posting, I would like to introduce the 2nd president of Korea Taekwondo Association (KTA). Since Kukkiwon...(1972) and World Taekwondo(1973)were not yet established, I write the leadership of the president of KTA, which represented Korean Taekwondo at that time. Mr. Park Jong-tae(1920-2007) who severed as a member of the Korean National Assembly for three times, was the second president of KTA(1964-65). He was stepped down by the 3rd president of KTA, Choi Hong-hi who had strong power in the sport at the time. For this reason, he practically served as president for about a year (1964-65), and thus had little influence on Taekwondo. On Oct. 9, 1963, Taekwondo initially participated in the 44th Korean National Sports Festival as an official competition.

12.01.2022 Successfully, Korea has held the first official Taekwondo competition for 11 days since the coronavirus pandemic. The Gyeorugi was held for 9 days from the 30t...h of July to the 7th of August, and the Poomsae was held for 2 days from the 8th to the 9th of August. In total, about 4,000 people attended the competitions for 11 days, and it ended successfully. The Gyeorugi was held after attaching a special mask filter to the headgear because the opponents were in close contact with each other. If the mask filter ran out during the game, the game was stopped, the mask filter was replaced, and the game continued. Only players could enter the stadium, and the spectators were prohibited from entering. The rules for quarantine against coronavirus in this event include: 1. Wearing a mask at all times, 2. Restricting access to outsiders, 3. No admission to spectators, 4 Prohibiting warm-up in the gym., 5. Minimizing the number of staying guests around the hosting city.

04.01.2022 Dear all global Taekwondo masters and grandmasters! What is Taekwondo leadership? (The 1st president of Korea Taekwondo organization) Who should become Taekwond...o leaders? Who will be the idealTaekwondo grandmaster ? Lets think about it once again! As you all know, Taekwondo originated from Korea. In other words, the Korea Taekwondo Association (KTA) was the first Taekwondo organization before the establishment of Kukkiwon and the World Taekwondo (WT). Therefore, I introduce Taekwondo leadership from the president of KTA. The first president of the KTA was General Chae Myungsin(1926-2013) who served as president from Dec. 15, 1962 to Apr. 2, 1964. He enacted the integration of each Kwans and factions of Taekwondo and the general rules of the KTA, and conducted the first national Dan Promotion Test. During the Vietnam War, while serving as commander of the Korean Army, he contributed to spreading and promoting Taekwondo.

Kukkiwon (World Taekwondo Headquarters) from now on. In January 1971, Dr. Unyong Kim who was inaugurated as the president of the Korea Taekwondo Association, built Kukkiwon on the site of the Taekwondo Central Dojang prepared by the former president of KTA, Kim Yongchae. In 1973, the year following the construction of Kukkiwon (1972), the World Taekwondo Championship was held at Kukkiwon and the World Taekwondo Federation was founded. During Kukkiwon President (1972-2002), he made a great contribution to the globalization of Taekwondo such as the adoption of Taekwondo in the Asian Games and Olympic Games. Unfortunately, he was stepped down in disgrace in relation to corruption while simultaneously serving as the vice-chairman of IOC (International Olympic Committee), the president of the Kukkiwon, the president of WTF(World Taekwondo Federation), the president of KOC(Korean Olympic Committee), the president of KTA(Korea Taekwondo Association), and 6th member of the National Assembly of the New Millennium Democratic Party
