17.01.2022 KOROIT FIRE BRIGADE GOOD FRIDAY APPEAL 2021 We are excited to announce that our Good Friday Appeal fundraising is back for 2021. It will look a little different and won’t be as big as past years due to covid restrictions. ... We will be hitting the streets of Koroit, we will be door knocking like previous years. Our trucks and firefighters will be making some noise in your street, so if you hear us, please come out and say hello and make a donation! Unfortunately, members of the public will not be able to rattle tins with us this year due to restrictions. Although you can help us in the following ways. 1. Drop off a donation in person to the Koroit Fire Station - Mills Street Koroit . (On Good Friday only) 2. Make a donation to our virtual tin. 3. Share this post and our link with your family and friends. We know, this years appeal won’t be the same without our community by our side. We do look forward to seeing you all throughout the day in the streets. All persons involved in the Koroit Fire Brigade Good Friday Appeal will adhere to a Covid Safe plan, restrictions and protocols as per the CFA and Koroit Fire Brigade.

The kids and teachers have done such an amazing job building the table from scratch and Koroit members are so grateful. We will put this table to good use. 02.01.2022 Do Know Your Total Fire Ban District Victoria is divided into nine Fire Districts which are based on council boundaries. Make sure you always know what fire district you are in whether at home or travelling.... https://www.cfa.vic.gov.au/warnings/find-your-fire-district

01.01.2022 12 years ago on this date (7 February 2009)- the infamous Black Saturday fires started. Approximately 400 fires were recorded across Victoria, affecting 78 communities. A total of 173 people died in the fires, and 2,029 houses were lost. So many are still suffering the loss of loved ones, so many are still recovering their livelihoods and so many are still suffering from post traumatic stress, especially the 1000’s of first responders that answered the call that day and for weeks after. We will remember them all!
