15.01.2022 Thanks to Seamus Brady for producing this video which gives some background as to why we want to decorate our town and celebrate the rich cultural heritage. Great work Michael Mcgoldrick with the narration.

13.01.2022 Hi all, time for an update. It's been a while but we have been working hard behind the scenes to make some progress. We are very passionate about our flags project but we also want to do it so it fits into a grander, long-term plan for Commercial Road Koroit. We have applied to Moyne Shire Council for the creation of a Streetscape Master Plan for Commercial Road. This plan would include investigating costing for options for things such as bluestone footpaths, underground powe...r, new street lighting, Irish and indigenous cultural flags, street furniture, intereptive signage and Village Green improvements. Moyne Shire has a strong track record in developing streetscape plans, having done so in Port Fairy, Peterborough, Woorndoo and Mortlake. There is no streetscape plan for Koroit. While some of the things on the proposed streetscape plan would cost a lot of money, there are also examples in place to show that it can be done. This includes the latest streetscape works in Bank Street, Port Fairy, that have been completed at a cost of $1.15 million. This included $600,000 from the Moyne Shire, $500,000 from the Victorian Government and just $50,000 from the community. The value of a Streetscape Master Plan for Koroit would be that our town has a professionally done document to present to local, state and federal government to be in the game to source the big funding. Thank you everyone for your support and more updates will be coming soon. See more
