25.01.2022 As a part of our NAIDOC week celebrations, Kororo Public Schools’s Stage 3 Indigenous group have been sharing their knowledge of the lemon myrtle plant. Students have been learning about how this plant has been used for food, medicine and smoking ceremonies by Indigenous people for thousands of years. Students enjoyed demonstrating the FIRST core values of discovery, innovation, impact, inclusion and teamwork as they presented solutions to support others in being fit and active. 22.01.2022 Thank you to our families and Kororo community members who attended our Presentation Day Assemblies via the Live Stream events this year. So far over 600 individual views have occurred. 21.01.2022 This year's ANZAC Day service will be held at C.ex Coffs International Stadium this Sunday. Free tickets are available online at http://aucexgroup.sales.ticketsearch.com/sales/sales All attendees require a ticket to the event for registration purposes including the below: General Admission General Admission + Marching... General Admission + Wreath Laying Gates open at 8am and the march will begin at 9am. Kororo students marching should arrive no later than 8.20am and meet Mrs Fenton and Mrs Attwood near the entrance to the Grand stand. Just look for the KPS banner. Please wear full school uniform, including a school hat.

20.01.2022 Kororo PS - Monday The adverse weather conditions are impacting on schools in a variety of ways, including staffing, transport and road closures. Despite this, Kororo Public School is open and operational on Monday. The safety and wellbeing of students and staff is our top priority.... The Department of Education is liaising closely with State Emergency Services to monitor conditions as they may change. We understand families will make decisions in relation to attending school based on their own circumstances. Thank you for your understanding.

13.01.2022 The Colour Run Explosion is on this Friday, 23rd April!! The weather is great! The oval is dry!... The children (& staff) are excited! Students wear a plain white t-shirt, old pants and closed in shoes. There are prizes for crazy hair and eyewear. Students may bring a towel to dry themselves after the event. The additional after school Family Colour Run Obstacle Course will be accessible for families who have paid from 3:30 pm - 4:45 pm. The sausage sizzle will not go ahead on Friday, however it will happen later on this term. We look forward to a fun and coloured filled day! Please note- This event is different to the Cross country that will take place tomorrow.

11.01.2022 Last week Kororo Public School students joined in the Big Veggie Crunch! Students had a great time crunching and munching on some healthy snacks generously donated by Woolgoolga Woolworths! A big thank you to Mrs Smith, Mrs Hewittson and Mr. Wiggins for organising this event and making it so engaging !

10.01.2022 Students will be participating in the 'Big Vegie Crunch' this morning at 10am. A simultaneous crunching event where we all come together to share some delicious fruits and vegetables and discuss the importance of a healthy diet and looking after our bodies. Thank you to Woolworths Woolgoolga who has donated a wide selection of crunchy, healthy produce for our students to crunch on.

09.01.2022 We will be celebrating Harmony Week all next week in our classrooms at Kororo, leading up to the annual Harmony Day on 21st March. We will be starting with a special leadership assembly on Monday 15th March. Students are encouraged to wear a splash of orange with their school uniform on this day.

08.01.2022 Have you met 6 Purple's pet Rhino? Students used the LGEO Education Spike equipment to build a rhino and code it to move. They worked in team to complete two tasks. Initially each rhino had to trample a LEGO brick one metre away from their starting line. Next, students had to change their code to stop their rhino as close as possible to the brick without touching it. There were quite a few trial and error attempts! #EdWeek20
