22.01.2022 We are still here to help you and your pets, however, in an effort to preserve valuable PPE and medical resources which are currently in short supply we have moved to only seeing patients on an urgent/emergency basis. If you are not sure whether your pet’s complaint is urgent or not, please don’t hesitate to contact us and speak to one of our staff members who will help determine whether an in-person consult is required. For animals that do require an in-person visit we are p...erforming non-contact consulting. Please call us on arrival to the clinic whilst waiting in your car. One of our nurses will take your pet through to our vet, who will then call you while examining your pet. Our large animal service is currently unaffected; however, it is important that if you have been overseas in the last 14 days, have been in contact with a confirmed COVID-19 case, are in isolation or are feeling unwell that you let us know so we can take extra precautions to keep our team safe. 20.01.2022 We’re looking after our people so they can look after your pets! The health and well-being of our people and clients is paramount. Given the evolving situation of Coronavirus (COVID-19) within Australia and across the world we wanted to provide you with an update of the changes we’ve put in place to help do our bit to slow the spread of the virus. There are several areas we are asking for help from our clients, these are:... Do not visit the clinic if you have cold or flu symptoms, have been in contact with someone who possibly has COVID-19, you have been overseas in the last 14 days or you are in self isolation. Please contact the clinic if any of these apply and we can organise alternative arrangements to see your pet. We are instituting non-contact consulting at our clinics in order to provide veterinary care for your pets while reducing the spread of COVID-19. Please call us on arrival to the clinic whilst waiting in your car. One of our nurses will take your pet through to our vet, who will then call you while examining your pet. Please phone ahead to order required prescription medication repeats, pet food, worming and flea control so we can arrange to have them ready to pick up without you having to wait. If you are running late, please let us know in advance so we can manage this Please adhere to social distancing recommendations and stay 1.5m apart from others while waiting. Please use contactless payment methods (avoid cash). We can take over the phone payments for consultations, surgery, food and medication. You may see some of our staff wearing gloves and masks, please do not take offence. Together, we can reduce the spread of COVID-19 and impact on our community, whilst continuing to provide care to your pets. For further updates as the situation changes, please check back on our Facebook page.

18.01.2022 Marley the 12 week old Kelpie pup has some more growing to do until she fits into her ears but she was very brave during her vaccination today. Although due to our new non-contact consulting rules her owner couldn’t be in the room with her she still managed to steal plenty of treats and cuddles from our nurses. Puppy vaccinations are still considered an essential service at this time to protect their fragile immune systems from diseases such as parvovirus. If your puppy is due for their vaccination call us on 56583500 (Korumburra) or 5997 3300 (Kooweerup) to make an appointment.

15.01.2022 We hope all of our wonderful clients are safe and we thank you all for your support in these different and difficult times. We are slowly working our way back to some normality, with limited numbers of people inside our clinics. We have started grooming again, but it may take some time to get through our waiting list. Tanya is working hard to contact those who had previous bookings, so thank you again for your patience. Unfortunately we are unable to take new grooming clients at this stage.

15.01.2022 Easter Opening Hours We will be running on an afterhours only basis from Friday through to Monday this Easter long weekend. Therefore although our clinic doors will be closed our on-call vets will be available 24/7 this Easter to help you and your furry friends. If you have any urgent problems call us on 5658 3500 to leave a message and the on-call vet will ring you back.

14.01.2022 Due to our business spanning a lockdown border each of our clinic will be operating slightly differently over the coming 6 weeks. We will continue to offer our full range of veterinary services and grooming. This includes 24 hour emergency care to all animals large and small from wherever you live. If you require medications or supplies from either clinic please ring before your visit and we will have them ready for pick up to limit contact.... Kooweerup Clinic will revert to operating in a contactless fashion. On arrival, please wait in your car and contact the clinic on 59973300 for further advice. No clients will be permitted to enter the building. Though we will continue to offer all services we ask that you consider the urgency of your visit and, if it possible to delay it until restrictions are over. Please review the guidelines issued on the four permissible reasons for leaving your house before travelling. Korumburra Clinic willl continue to operate as before with limited access of the public. Please wait in your car and contact the clinic on 56583500 when you arrive for further advice. One person per pet is permitted to enter the consultation rooms. Clients from lockdown Shires who attend the Korumburra clinic will be managed in a contactless fashion. Working under these restrictions is frustrating and challenging for everyone including our staff. We ask for your kindness and patience as we negotiate this period. Thanks from the crew at Korumbura- Kooweerup Vet Clinics

14.01.2022 Reunion for 2 special girls Yesterday Martha and Matilda, who were adopted through our shelter last year, met up for a play date. They have both been adopted by loving families who have been working on training and lots of fun activities for these loving and active girls. Great to see them meet up again.

12.01.2022 Reassuring news for all our clients and pet owners. Last night the Hon. David Littleproud MP, Minister for Agriculture released a statement regarding vets as an essential service. "The Federal Government considers the role of veterinarians essential to the agricultural sector and therefore to our nation’s food security but also in protecting companion animals and our nation’s wildlife."... "The Federal Government has not put any restrictions on veterinarians other than the practice of social distancing and hygiene practices during the COVID-19 crisis." Read the full statement here: http://ow.ly/OgDi50yXf7C See our previous post regarding what we are doing to help reduce the spread of COVID-19 and continue to follow us on Facebook for further updates.
