13.01.2022 Do holidays feel a bit like Balancing act for you? Maybe it’s balancing your time off between Family and Friends or between the Social scene and time for yourSelf? The things you ‘want’ to do - ... The things you ‘should’ do. The foods you feel like eating - The foods that you need. The drinks you enjoy - The fluids for a healthy body. The time for pleasure and play - The time to rest and reset. With all the Free time, it can become a Free-for-all. What does it look like for you when you are not governed by the restrictions of such a set routine? And how does it make you feel? Did you lose your Balance completely? Did you find better Balance? I’m just so happy to be back on the mat and contemplating mine Can’t wait to see you all soon x . . . #balance #balancingact #betterbalance

11.01.2022 A super honest conversation in class this morning made me think... WOW, WE SHARE A LOT Sometimes we share more with our fellow Yogi’s than we do our family and friends. We certainly see each other more. ... The time spent on our mats is spent stripping back the layers, sometimes leaving us bare. Behind them, the naked truth, our shadows, our fears, our grief, our despair. Together, we twist them and turn them, upside down and inside out. Exploring our sense of self, letting go of our grip, leaving no ego left to hide behind. As we hit the bottom, broken, becomes our breakthrough. We shamelessly share our shadows, and our breath, and between these, the boundaries of our individual journeys, broken down, become one WOW! Knowing this, it’s no wonder we are so comfortable with one another. So, with that, this is me! Can you see me? Sharing my unfiltered, broken and beautiful self, asking you to do the same. Showing up on your mat is half the battle, but when you do, let your shadow show up to, share you, let yourself be seen, unfiltered, broken and beautiful! . . . #unfiltered #broken #beautiful

08.01.2022 You know when you read or hear a story and it moves you so deeply that it really shifts you? I read a beautiful story yesterday that had me completely break down in tears, the waves of emotion have rippled into today and it’s got me thinking... We’ve been conditioned, and are often rewarded in life for standing strong, on our own two feet, independently. It’s perceived weak to ask for help or to admit you can’t do it all on your own. I myself, am certainly guilty of acting o...ut these stories in the past, but I admit, it’s something I’d like to change. Reaching out of the darkness and into the light, for help, for a hand. Leaning on each other for support and for strength. My wish is for these simple things not to ‘move’ me, but to make these things less the exception and more the norm! IN SHORT - A beautiful lady in my community lost her husband 5 Months ago. They had met when they were just 5 years old, both being deaf, the deaf community is quite small, they became close and in time fell in love. They got married, had 3 children and had loved and known each other for 44 years! He was chef of the house and since his passing, she had been unable to bring herself to cook or be healthy. It made her realise how precious it was when friends or family made a meal. The story continued but this was not a reach out for help, instead an OFFER... to make a meal for another in need. Her idea was then that the plate would be passed when the person was ready, to another in need To think that this simple gesture could make the difference in someone’s difficult time/day. Let’s offer our hand, but be better at taking it when offered too! Be brave and ask for help, and in doing so, help rewrite the story of strength! . . . #strong #strength #support

04.01.2022 I humbly bow, bound and balancing upon my shaken foundations laid out by the lessons of this last lunar cycle May we receive the magic, ... no matter the wrapper. Knowing and trusting these gifts, valuable tools to serve the greater good of our journey. Sometimes it’s subtle and greets us like a gentle breeze we welcome on a balmy night. Sometimes it’s so abrupt and confronting it causes us to retract and retreat while we await a sense of safety. Whatever you are feeling or experience this Full Moon, keep your eyes and heart open and let light corrupt the cracks... I ask: Do you see the beauty buried in the broken bits?
