05.01.2022 Emily Woods it's very easy to be negative about anything in life Wind swept the wheel etc With your power as a journo you should have done your reasearch and come down and spoken to us the over 10000 people that work here Do you know the wheel. employs over 120 people Your negative attitude doesn't help ... Imagine these people lose their jobs I can tell you one thing if Holden ford ever sacked 120 people it would be front page of every paper in Australia Your story affects these 120 people We all understand the pitfalls of docklands and everyone is working hard to rectify Not only does the area house many major businesses ANZ Nah etc who employ thousands What about the hundreds of us hospitality workers who get paid less than 99 percent of workers We rely on Docklsnds to feed our family's Why not come down speak to stakeholders and find out that everyone is working hard to improve the area Did you know my landlord is spending 50 million on building a world class cinema complex Did you know a fresh fruit Fish market is getting built Did you know that the Costco at Docklsnds is 2nd busiest in world Did you know the Marriott is building a six star hotel above the harbour town shopping complex And I can keep listing all the positive happening Why don't you call The owners of Ashe Morgan our landlords ( most progressive landlords I have met in 30 years of hospitality) and find out why they are spending 100s of millions to achieve all improvements listed It's because they believe in the area That would be the right thing to do Also talk to the hundreds of waiters waitresses In conclusion it's very very easy to pick all the negatives but a lot more work to actually come and talk to the people who rely on this area I suggest you catch the lift downstairs from the age building Hop in your Toyota Prius and do some old fashion journalism Talk to the people on the front line Angelos [email protected]
