23.01.2022 Children jumped straight into a healthy start to the term by exploring National Nutrition Week. They participated in a collaborative healthy eating poster, being active outside, yoga challenge and enjoying some delicious meals like Nacho and Salad Bowls!! What’s your families favourite go to healthy meal? we would like to try it at OOSH!!

17.01.2022 Welcome back to Term 4, hope everyone enjoyed their holiday break! Here is what we will be exploring on our program for this term and some important dates for the calendar.

17.01.2022 Good Morning Families, I hope you're all having a lovely week so far. With the continued identified cases of COVID-19 over the past couple of weeks, we are reviewing our COVID-19 Policy and Risk Assessment. Parents will not be able to enter the rooms beyond the main doors at OOSH starting Monday 27th. We will have a singing out table outside for you to sing your child/ren in and out. ... Children displaying any cold and flu symptoms such as: -Temperature -Sinus infection -Cough -Green mucus -Gastro will not be able to attend the service until 24hours after symptoms have gone or with a doctors clearance. 24 hours notice is to be sent to the centre about any and all new drop off or pick up individuals and to bring their ID. All toys and surfaces will be wiped and be deeply sanitised to ensure the safety of your children, families and our staff. I also encourage that our families and staff continue to remain updated on COVID-19 hot spots and abide by the isolation and testing requirements. We thank everybody for their cooperation in ensuring that we maintain a safe and healthy environment for our children and staff.

16.01.2022 Today is World Smile Day, the team organised a special birthday surprise and notes from the children during the last week of term 3. I decided to wait and read them today, they certainly made me SMILE!!! Thank you to everyone for the kind words. How can you make someone’s day with a big smile?! Write a note or do something kind... everyone deserves something a little extra special during this hard year of 2020! ... 16.01.2022 URGENT OOSH COVID UPDATE Dear Families, As a result of the updated information from NSW Health, Kotara Sth OOSH has made a decision to take the precautionary measures of; ... Venue or Hotspot Instructions 1. Please notify the OOSH immediately if your child or a family member was at the Jets game on Sunday or another high risk venue. 2. If you have attended a hot spot, venue or the Jets game HNE Health and OOSH require you to self isolate and get tested IMMEDIATELY. 3. DO NOT attend the service for FOURTEEN DAYS regardless of a negative Covid test result and immediately inform OOSH. Staff Update 1. A staff member is currently in self isolation and we are operating on minimal staff 2. it is highly encouraged that you do not send your children to OOSH where possible at this time. Cleaning We will be completing a two day deep clean as a precautionary measure over the weekend. New Sign-In Procedures 1. Parents are required to wait in the designated sign in area while a masked staff member calls for their children to come out and signs them in and out. 2. Please take particular note of the new signage around our centre and DO NOT enter the school or the OOSH buildings at ANY time. 3. Please ensure that you leave five to ten minutes early to allow for these new procedures. 4. We highly suggest parent and families wear masks where possible to help reduce the risk of COVID19 infection spread. Risk Policy We will be updating our Covid-19 risk policy to cater for the new procedures and updates from HNE Health.
