14.01.2022 A message from the Principal

12.01.2022 A message from Lake Macquarie Police: As we approach school holidays, it is particularly important to remind parents of the critical need to know where and what your children are up to at all times. Over recent months, Lake Macquarie Police have experienced a dramatic rise in young people being left unsupervised in and around major shopping precincts and surrounding youth hang-out areas. As a result, police have been addressing a spike in anti-social behaviour and criminal ac...tivity within these groups of youths. Police are also observing large groups behaving in ‘peer pressure’ scenarios, encouraging criminal and anti-social behaviour, which puts all persons present in danger. Assaults, offensive behaviour, and property damage are criminal offences that place all young people at risk either by perpetrating or by falling victim too. Police with local stakeholders continue to implement a variety of strategies to reduce violence, crime and fear in this space, however we are urging parents this summer to assist where they can know where your love ones are, where they plan to go and who they are with. 06.01.2022 Capes 4 Kids - a work in progress- a community-based project with some Year 7 Girls in Term 4. We are making carefully crafted capes that are going to be gifted to children in hospital so they can wear them whilst they undergo treatments or procedures. This is an opportunity to work with some Year 7 students and a wonderful experience to know that they are making a sick child smile! We hope to send off our finished capes in early 2021 and continue with this project next year. Capes 4 Kids Australia Inc. - Fundraising Page
