25.01.2022 The riders have been hard hit by very strong winds but are bravely pushing on. Jo not happy with 3 punctures, which is not helpful. Chin up boys, the top is getting closer

Only one correction - i dont claim to be a medical volunteer (i will leave that to our amazing CERT experts), but in any event, very glad to be able to promote the life-saving AED machines. 14.01.2022 24hr ACCESSIBLE DEFIB MACHINES IN CHILTERN & BARNY A small group of bike riders have raised the amazing total of $8,500 to enable the purchase of 4x 24 hour accessible defibrillator (AED) machines. The machines are located at Barny Post Office, Chiltern Bowling Club, Chiltern Senior Citizens Hall and Chiltern Police Station (shortly). They are fully automated, fail safe machines and are able to be operated by anyone in times of cardiac arrest. To read more information about the amazing ride (34+ hours without sleep, 490km from sea level to the highest point in Australia) and information from our CERT team about how important the machines are, please read the attached article. 10.01.2022 Meet one of our unsung heroes..... Trevor Gladstone. Trevor was the support crew for the ride. He may not have ridden the 500km (in fact he rode 16km - the final 8km up to the top and back again), but he was with them whole way in the support vehicle. This means that like the others, he too, had 34 hours + without sleep. Trevor fed, watered, supported, motivated and kept safe the 6 riders for the whole ride, they wouldn't have been able to complete the ride without him. Having Trevor support the riders meant that families and friends of the riders felt a lot more at ease, knowing that Trevor was supporting them and keeping the safe. Thanks Trevor - you were amazing!

03.01.2022 The UK is all over 24hr Defib machines too. In most red public phone boxes, the phone has been replaced with an AED. You need to call 999 to get the code to unlock i, bit hard when there is no phone though!
