25.01.2022 So here it is the caramel cake ! The other day after posting a picture of my choc mint mudcake hack I did last year on a @woolworths_au Facebook post about their new choc mint mudcake, I was challenged to create a caramel version using their caramel mudcakes and well this is the final product, oozie caramel goodness... as you can see I used quite a few different varieties of caramel products and my kids just keep asking when can we eat it and I have just a few friends askin...g the same! Whilst I do bake my own cakes most of the time, using the mudcake’s is quick, cost effective and so easy too! It also is a great way to impress the smallest and the biggest kids that love cake! 20.01.2022 Pancake Sunday! Last week I had many messages asking why and how are my pancakes so perfect and well although I’m truly humbled for everyone saying this perfect is not what we are but I do put my heart and soul into my cooking so... I did a little time lapsed video for you all! First I start by making my own batter which is a little if this and a little of that! But mostly a combination of both SR flour and plain flour probably 2 cups of SR and 1 of plain, a little caster sug...ar because these are not healthy pancakes! A touch of vanilla bean paste, 2 eggs and a whole lot of milk until you get it to the right consistency. I then use my crepe maker hot plate which I got from @kmartaus years ago and I wish they would release them again I also use a soup ladle to measure the scoop pour the same and just cook them till little bubbles appear on top then flip. I don’t use oils or butter while cooking because the hot plate is so darn good I don’t need it. So please excuse me while I head off to go devour these amazing things called pancakes! It’s only $5 each too... and they get to decorate 2 donuts and if you super lucky they may be cooking them and you get a hot glazed donut aswell!!
