25.01.2022 What a hardy lot our Launching into Learning families are! With wind and rain blowing down from our snowy mountain this morning six families joined our Seedlings group and had fun making grass heads with Thibaut. Great to see you all!

24.01.2022 Huge congratulations to our Debaters who have again won their first ever debate - this time against Princes Street Primary. Olivia, Zoe and Chase were very confident and presented well crafted speeches and rebuts arguing that primary school children should walk or ride to school. Well done to the three of you for representing our school with such maturity and poise, you should be very proud of yourselves.

24.01.2022 Good afternoon families, Below is our newsletter for this week. Have a great weekend, and we look forward to seeing everyone on Monday for the last week of Term 3.

22.01.2022 Good evening families and welcome to Week 6! It's exciting to think that we're now half way through the Term and we're hoping all our students have a productive and settled final 5 weeks. 22.01.2022 The students in 1/2 Holmstrom, Paine, Thomason/Dowsett and Wood spent a wonderful day at Bonorong Wildlife Sanctuary this week. They have been learning about Australian animals and their habitats as part of their Science inquiry, and posed many interesting questions during their time at the park. Did you know that a wombat has square shaped scat and a backwards facing pouch? What a fabulous day!

21.01.2022 A great day was had by all at the Huon and Channel Athletics Carnival today. Congratulations to all Kingston Primary School students who displayed great endeavour, sportsmanship and exemplary behaviour. We are very proud of you all.

20.01.2022 A reminder will be sent home today to all families of students in Grades 3-6 of the commencement of the Swim and Water Safety Program this coming Monday 23 November. Please ensure bathers, towels and swimming cap are packed each day in a waterproof bag. Please note that parents and carers are not able to attend at any stage of the program this year. Caps will be given to all those students that do not have one before the session on Monday. BOAT SAFETY 2 All Grade 3-6 classe...s participated in the Boat Safety 2 presentation given by Mr Ian Ross from MAST (Marine and Safety Tasmania) during their Physical Education lessons this week. Topics included: correct wearing of lifejackets, servicing jackets, checking weather conditions, planning and preparing for trips on the water, maintaining boats, and knowing how to use different safety equipment. Do you own a life jacket? In 2018 MAST first advised the boating public that all lifejackets must meet the AS4758.1 standard by December 2020. The older AS1512, AS 1499 and AS2260 standard is now redundant. For further information visit the MAST website www.mast.tas.gov.au

18.01.2022 On Monday our 5/6 students enjoyed a STEM excursion to the Sustainability Centre. After a discussion about climate change and the need for sustainable technology, students built their own sustainable vehicles out of materials such as plastic bottles, straws and cardboard boxes, making them move with wind-power or perpetual motion. As you can see from the photos below, students had a great time working together to construct their fabulous vehicles!
