25.01.2022 Time for a quick blast in anticipation of the start of the winter pennant

23.01.2022 Didn't get a start today but was great to be out on the water!

20.01.2022 And the boys are off... as you can see we’re taking it pretty seriously! #L2H #offshoresailing

19.01.2022 Heading into night #2, it’s been pretty good having an escort for most of the day.

18.01.2022 We’re on the home stretch of the delivery to Launceston... 24 hours of none stop rain, a VERY lumpy Tasman rounding followed by a kraken sail up the east coast, over night at Binalong and now navigating Banks Strait in clear skies and sunshine - might even manage to dry our gear by the end of the day!

16.01.2022 The start line of the TasPorts Maria Island Race. It was a challenging race, with tricky winds and a fleet of hungry seasoned crews... well done to 2 Unlimited for taking out line honours.

14.01.2022 At the Kracken on dawn the team are on the home stretch . #L2H #offshoresailing

14.01.2022 Well done team!!! In just in time for a breakfast of champions... cold beers and kraken rum!

14.01.2022 What a long frustrating race! Sailing

13.01.2022 Have you met K1 and K2? Kraken Kaptain Mark Bayles and bowman Amos Wherrett looking the part as we make our way back south past Tasman Island.

13.01.2022 Gotta love Pipe Opener Weekend! It didn’t disappoint... a freezing night sail with no freaking wind, followed by 2 sensational days of spinnaker runs up and do...wn the channel, and a sneaky little 3rd place in the Cove Cup! Cheers to the Kraken crew, I loved every minute, my liver hates you though! And big shout out to the Derwent Sailing Squadron Inc and Kettering Yacht Club for putting on a magnificent weekend!

11.01.2022 Kraken competed in the Channel Challenge on the weekend. Friday night was a good battle with other boats - Got 1st on IRC, 3rd on AMS and 6th on PHS. Saturday turned out to be sunny with a decent amount of wind or us - 2nd on IRC (missed first by 16 seconds), 2nd AMS and 5th on PHS. Sunday, albeit short-handed, we looked good for a while but where it counted, we didn't get the left we thought was there and got 5th on IRC, 8th AMS and 10th PHS. ... We ended up with a 2nd Overall in IRC, 3rd AMS and 6th PHS. Great weekend with the crew and was perfectly hosted by Kettering Yacht Club with assistance from Derwent Sailing Squadron Inc and Bellerieve Yacht Club

06.01.2022 Opening of the Pipe

04.01.2022 It was a pretty light sail around the cans last night... so we took the opportunity to Kraken open a few cans of our own Cheers to afternoons well spent! And double cheers to Alex Merry for the photos

04.01.2022 It’s that time of year again when the poor yachties of the land go looking for support from our friends and family as we once again endeavour to conquer the Launceston to Hobart - or L2H - as it is affectionately known. And because we know there is very little sympathy for the plight of people with large boats, we’ve teamed up with the crew at Cape Bernier Vineyard to help cajole you into departing with a wee penny or two. visit https://www.capebernier.com.au//product-cat/uncategorized/ to score a Kraken Wine Deal for the silly season.
