22.01.2022 How high is your retaining wall? Weve been busy this past few weeks, inbetween the rain, the sleet and the snowy winds. but weve come a long way. 11T of basalt installed so far. ... Our clients saw our first attempt at dropping a waterfall down a retaining wall by chance, within minutes of us turning it on i might add, and immediately wanted one for thier new build. The retaining wall was only 30cm high. Then we dropped a waterfall down a 1m retaining wall and that raised the bar. but we had no idea what they had instore for us... With their new build now complete we were presented with a 2.5m drop down this retaining wall Gotta say, we were pretty excited! Watch this space as we finish up and turn it on. #JustLikeNature

15.01.2022 So jealous of all the moss, lichen and ferns that has take advantage of the amazing humid rainforest surrounding the Serenity Falls in Buderim, Queensland Australia. In the canberra region growing and replanting moss is a skill. When placing finishings on a Kraken Pond it takes careful consideration finding places with ample shade and moisture. We have a saying be the moss

12.01.2022 The afternoon sun highlights these waterfalls, beautifully. New suburbs are denuded of all habitat before the building for humans starts. Then once the Humans have started to move in, the landscaping begins, one house at a time. This Kraken Pond adds a little more to a new home than most landscapes.... The best bit is it brings all the birds to the yard, and at 15m long there is plenty of room for male dragon fly territories too. Dragon Flys need approx 10m of water frontage territory to patrol, and attract a mate. The wild iriisdesent colours of dragonflies are awesome as they shimmer in the summer sun, darting back and forth. The bridge beam seat is the perfect place to soak up the suns rays, read a book, have a glass of wine or just chill watching the local birds bath, drink and frolic. The clients are happy knowing that their landscape, is a grounding cornerstone of their Neighbourhood Ecosystem. The best part about this new suburb is that there is another Backyard Ecosystem only 400m away. This means that the local birdlife can get a drink without leaving the suburb and they have a choice of watering holes. The local birdlife will spend more time in your yard and your neighbours, Giving you plenty of relaxing year-round entertainment. Where do the birds stop to drink in your neighbourhood?

12.01.2022 The japonoca over the stream is in full bloom, and sometimes a full flowere drops into the stream. Watch as the flower meanders down the stream, happily going with the flow, The stream is only 9m long but this flower will take all day to get to the end.

09.01.2022 Weve been shifting stones for weeks, its hard work, but it all is forgotten when we test the falls for the first time. Here is the top of the system. Theres a small pond up top, negative edge sheet falls into the first deep pool. Then into a clinging falls over stone and moss. I just love the way the late afternoon sun hits the falls beautifully. Sunset and twighlt with the aquatic lighting will be a real treat from the baclony.... Weve still got some work to do before its complete because the last 10% can take as long as the first 90%, well maybe not quite as long... but it wont be long now.

05.01.2022 Tranquility from the top of the falls love the way the fading light is reflecting the mountains in the background. This is the view from the picture window of the house and its also the view from the back gate to welcome you into the front yard.... Weve all spent a bit of time comtemplating this section of the pond from the gate, ever since we turned it on. The setting sun hits this fall and reflects the colours as it sets. and then the lights come on and the moon rises creating a neverending scene change throughout the day and night. 02.01.2022 Serenity Falls in Buderim Queensland is a beautiful scenic walk up to a swimming hole for all to enjoy. Twisting and turning along a board walk you can’t help up feel like a fairy hanging out in moss with tall timber and climbing fig trees. It was inspirational to see the creeks with boulders and roots holding back banks. The debris from the rainforest trees would build up creating places for roots and trees to start again. The streams erode their way through sand stone until they reach bedrock which very unlike canberra region waterfalls that run straight over bedrock.
