24.01.2022 WOW, what a wonderful way to finish up our Krav4Kids classes for 2020. Today, the kid’s enjoyed a challenge whilst traversing through an obstacle course, which was then followed by reaction counter drills against an attempted grab/abduction. All the kids did a great job and it was exciting to see the level of progression in their skills and knowledge. To be told by a four year old child of the importance of effective scanning, and verbalisation skills in a self defence situ...ation is truly rewarding and humbling. 2020 has been a challenging year for so many people including many of the families of our members. Furthermore, it has been a challenge for all of the team at Krav4Kids however; we are extremely proud to have been able to still provide a safe environment for the kids to learn essential life skills and grow. Today’s class finished with the awarding of rank patches for our Krav4Kids members. Congratulations to our junior team who received rank from Practitioner Level (PL) PL1-PL 4, as well as our teens who received Graduate Level (GL) GL2-GL4. Outstanding effort to all our students. 21.01.2022 At today’s Krav4Kids class we conducted a realistic scenario where one of the kids was abducted in full view of the other kids whilst they were doing their warm up. The scenario was to highlight two important points to the kids. How quick an abduction can take place, even when others are in close view. The 2nd point was to teach the kids methodologies so they are able retain vital information pertaining to the description of the offender or offenders, and share that informa...tion with parents and police officers. After being abducted the kids had to provide a description of the offender and what happened, what they observed and could retain. Afterwards, the offender was asked to come into the classroom so the kids could receive feedback on their description. We were very pleased that they were able to collectively provide 90% accuracy. It was also very pleasing that individually, the kids identified essential features etc such as an ankle tattoo etc. All very vital information to provide to the police after an incident. The skills and knowledge taught to the kids can be utilised in a variety of situations. Our team was highly impressed and I hope that all parents and family members speak to the kids about today’s class. 19.01.2022 UPDATE : Tomorrow's Class For tomorrow's class we will be training outdoors so could you please ensure the children have a hat, sunscreen ( if you have some), and a water bottle. We will be doing anti abduction drills utilizing the padded FIST Suit. The scenario will be a predator trying to drag a child from a footpath, or bus stop.... We all know how much the kids enjoy the scenarios with the FIST Suit and it's a great way to enhance their skills and knowledge. 19.01.2022 A wonderful effort by all the kids that attended our Algester class today. Today, we utilized our FIST Suit which give the kids the opportunity to practice their core skill sets in a controlled simulated scenario which was an attempted abduction on the side of the road. It also allows the kids to enhance their physical skill sets, as well as their mindset and situational awareness. ... All kids did an exceptional job today, including those attending for their very first class. I know that the parents were very impressed seeing their kids utilize all the skills and knowledge they have been taught by our Krav4Kids training team. A big thank you to the parents for your ongoing support and positive feedback. During uncertain times in the world, it's reassuring knowing that the kids are being trained for the Real World. A huge shout out to Portia for her ongoing mentoring and support with the kids. She is a great role model and impressive young lady who the kids enjoy training with. 18.01.2022 Excellent effort by all the kids and teens that attended our Algester class on Saturday. Its so pleasing to see the ongoing efforts and development of our team at Krav4Kids In this video youll hear our younger kids inside the training room practicing their verbal skills ( challenges against a threat), whilst enhancing their physical self defence skills. Seeing our kids as young as 4 years of age doing this training gives us a sense of pride.... Also in the video youll observe a stress reaction drill that our teens do where they are using an improvised weapon ( stick) in conjunction with their self defence skills. To see these young warriors from 11-14 train with so much commitment is truly amazing. Well done team and on behalf of Portia, Justin and myself, keep up the excellent work. 15.01.2022 Last week, one of our Krav4Kids students was at school, and during lunchtime, was playing a game of touch with their friends. Suddenly, another student ( known as a bully at the school) grabbed our student and restricted their arms by holding them tightly. Our K4K student managed to break free enough to use two connecting elbow strikes which resulted in the bully loosening their grip. In the process of it all happening our K4K student dropped their weight giving them the cha...nce to break free in the process. Our K4K student fell to the ground however; as they landed, their leg came up ready to kick if needed. Our K4K student yelled (Get away from me ), and then got to their feet quickly and tried to gain attention from the teacher on duty with no success. Whilst this was happening, the bully tried to apologise after it all happened but our K4K student wasnt having it and screamed at the bully to get away from them. The parents of our K4K student are extremely proud of them and assured they did the right thing and not to feel bad. A report has been made with the deputy principal and they were following it all up. The parents of our K4K student explained to them that our student does self defence, and hit back at the bully in self defence. Our K4K student isnt in any trouble at school. Whilst we never promote any type of violence, we most certainly do teach our K4K students to stand up for themselves and others who are subjected to bullying and violence, and in this case, Im also very proud of what our K4K student did and knowing them as I do, it would have taken a lot to push them to that point. No matter how quiet or reserved a person is, never underestimate them

14.01.2022 As a parent, one of the worst, and most scariest thoughts is that of our child being abducted. And whilst it is not a subject that most parents like to imagine, or even discuss, it’s a subject that we are very passionate about at Krav4Kids. Myself and Justin are dedicated to teaching and preparing young children in the methodologies of anti abduction. We are teaching them the knowledge and skills required to handle the situation, and help prepare them to be as calm and focus...ed if it ever did happen. We have both served our country in the Australian Army, as well as my service in the Australian Federal Police. We have both witnessed violence, and know the types of dangers that our children can face. With our extensive backgrounds, you can be assured that at Krav4Kids, we are training your child to give them the very best chance of returning home safely to their family each and every day. In this video, one of our outstanding students is demonstrating one of our various scenario based training drills in anti abduction training. At Krav4Kids, we train and empower our students in these types of scenarios for the worst case scenarios they could possibly face, whilst at the same time, we are teaching them essential life skills. To see the ongoing skills, knowledge and development of our students is something we are immensely proud of. Several years ago a parent asked me why are you training my daughter in this stuff? Isn’t is scaring the kids? 07.01.2022 At Krav4Kids, we teach not anti abduction and anti bullying training for our students, but also how to use improvised weapons such as a broom stick etc. Over the past several weeks, our adult classes have been focusing on using brooms, mops as well as various types of sticks to defend themselves from an armed and unarmed attacker. At Saturdays class, Harry participated in the class and as you can see from this video with his Dad (Brian), Harry certainly picked you this import...ant skill set very quickly. ( NOTE: The ends of the stick are padded for added safety) Once our regular kids classes resume, these are just some of the training planned for many of our students. 01.01.2022 Our Krav4Kids classes recommence as of tomorrow Saturday 18th July. We are excited to welcome all our students back for more fun and training. We are now a COVID safe training facility and request that you follow our attendance checklist before bringing your children to class. Consider your childs health, if they are feeling unwell in any capacity skip their class and rest at home. ... Please arrive at class at least 15 minutes prior to class commencement. Please ensure you record your details at the gym reception in accordance with those COVID Safe requirements. Children will have their temperature checked by myself, and recorded on the sign in form. All parents and guardians will be advised to wait outside our classroom until our class has finished, and its cleared for you to enter. No spectators including parents and guardians are to be inside the classroom during the class. Please ensure your child brings their own water bottle which has their name written on the bottle. ALL water fountains at the gym have been turned off. Always keep a 1.5-metre distance between staff, members and trainers Children are to wash their hands before and after completing class using the hand sanitisers provided. All instructors will have their temperature checked and recorded in accordance with our COVID Safe requirements. Please assist us by adhering to the above requirements which are designed to ensure we continue to provide a COVID Safe environment for the kids and our training team. We will be cleaning all equipment and making use of the sanitiser and wipes provided. Please advise your children that no snacks will be provided at the duration of the class as was previously the case prior to COVID-19. We are super excited to see all the kids again and cant wait to bring smiles to their faces and watch them develop their confidence in being able to protect themselves. 01.01.2022 What do you do if you find disturbing images of children online? If you come across this type of content, do NOT share it or comment on it. While it is tempting... to jump in the comments and tag the AFP or other law enforcement groups, this is not the way to go. The first thing to do is report it to platform youve seen the content on using the built-in reporting options. A lot of these are very easy to use. This is the quickest way to get the content removed and ensure the right information gets to the right police. Platforms work closely with the Australian Centre to Counter Child Exploitation and international counterparts when it comes to protecting our children; they are required to report all suspected child exploitation material to law enforcement. You can also report content directly to the Australian Centre to Counter Child Exploitation by heading to www.accce.gov.au/report Offensive, illegal or harmful content online can be reported to www.esafety.gov.au/report/illegal-harmful-content Importantly, If you believe a child is in immediate danger, call 000 or your local police.
