25.01.2022 STATE OF THE WORLD - Bad guys (Post by KMTA Director - Tim Alexander to our student group) . It was only 9-days ago during the recent Law Enforcement Control and Restraint workshop I was discussing (and demonstrating very briefly) tactics we use to deal with and respond to suicide-bombers/attackers. (What they are is only disclosed to government departments). .... The words I said to the group at the time were "Just because we haven't had it happen here, and just because things are pretty quiet recently due to the world looking inwards due to lock-downs, it doesn't mean the bad-guys and terrorists are taking time off. We need to be vigilant and prepare." . Now in the several days since those comments, we've had a beheading and coordinated knife attacks in France, and now a coordinated mass-shooting in Vienna with gunmen on the run (as at writing this post). . This post is NOT about who is responsible, what brings it about, nor is it opening a door to racial, religious, political or whatever else discussions. (Any comments along those lines will be removed and poster banned). It serves to simply highlight my point: The bad guys, regardless of motives, are not taking down-time....ever. . We cannot be prepared for a "battle" against an enemy/assailant that doesn't stop, doesn't rest, doesn't take time off, if that is how we live our lives. . Be safe everyone. 24.01.2022 FIRST LIVE ONLINE SESSION! It was a great turnout for the 1st live session online tonight, with 26 students joining in across 22 connections, lead by Tim @tim_alexander_official . 19.01.2022 Congratulations to our eligible Kids and Junior Krav Maga students who tested and passed today! (The rest will be eligible in June 2021). We had K1, K2, J1, J2, and J3 levels testing, and the results were awesome! No K3 this time as those who would have tested have transitioned over to and now tested to the J levels. (Y) ) As a result of the new regulations announced by the Australian Federal Government overnight, we must close our doors to the public as directed. The last time KMTA closed for any reason, was the 2011 Brisbane Floods! So it is with great regret, and only during time of crisis that we take this step.... But wait! We WILL be delivering training, education, and physical activity directly to you! How will this work? 1 - We will be notifying all our CURRENT fee paying students first 2 - We will share this information with new and recent enquiries 3 - We will share the information with the general public at large. We may be down temporarily, but we certainly are not out (Y)
