The soft komal (flat) notes make Bhairavi the Queen of Ragas. Taking this soft melody and transposing lyrics with the maha mantra, we’ll sing while meditating on the dark and beautiful enchanter of Cupid. Lila will lead our first kirtan, then pastimes/class and finish with Sri & Joakin leading a kirtan. . Lila’s Kirtan is a sweet favorite Vaishnava melody beloved ...by many. We’re sure you will recognize it and enjoy her super sweet rendition. Sri & Joakin’s kirtan will be in Kafi raag. Kafi is a recent raga, that first appeared in the 15th century and its forgiving structure lends itself well to folk music, bhajans and kirtans. The principle rasa is sringara - Divine Love.
