Usually, my answer is something like, "dry needling is an acupuncture techni...que appropriated by non acupuncturists - but with much less training and skills development than acupuncturists". I'll spare you the to and fro about registration standards in Australia, but ask you to consider who you would rather have insert needles into you: a non acupuncturist who has done a short course in needling or an acupuncturist who studies under supervision for four years before they graduate (with thousands of hours of supervision)?
