18.01.2022 Keeping our stuff organised helps me to feel in control and lowers my stress levels. However the kids often want to keep stuff I don't really want to. Cardboard product packaging from new toys is one example. We had heaps of empty boxes just sitting in the cupboard taking up space.... So what I have done now is cut out the most interesting sides from the boxes into rectangles A4 or smaller. Then I hole punched them and bound them together with 2 hinged ring clips. This is great because: 1. It's super cheap. I bought 12 rings from eBay for under $5. 2. They take up less room than files. 3. You can keep adding more to them. 4. The kids can look through them whenever they want without making a mess. I have done the same thing with their birthday cards. Maybe this idea will work for you too?

07.01.2022 It’s interesting how, when you start ignoring the sense of urgency that comes from notifications and new requests, you actually don’t feel the pull to jump on them immediately as much as you did before.

01.01.2022 My latest weekend project - I sanded back my dining table and repainted it using gloss white for the frame and clear coat (matt) for the top. I'm so happy with how it came up, it cost under $100 as I had the undercoat and gloss white in the shed already. Totally worth it.
