06.01.2022 Tonight at The Rutherford check out the Kristen Lane Duo from 8:30pm! Born in the small town Kurri Kurri NSW, Kristen has been singing since she was 5 years of ...age, from singing in her father’s band at age 11, to forming her own band The Lanesbury Sisters (with sister Amanda), to be being a finalist in 2012 for the prestigious Toyota Star-Maker competition, Kristen has paid her dues. In 2010 Kristen released her first single Day in the Hay to critical acclaim. The video (directed by Ross Wood), received widespread praise and high rotation on the Country Music Channel (CMC). Other artists have seen Kristen’s talent and she has shared the stage with Adam Harvey, Felicity Urquhart, The Flood, Wendy Matthews and many others. Following her growing success, Kristen then enlisted the help of Australia’s biggest country producer, Garth Porter (Lee Kernighan, Sara Stora, etc), to produce and co write her debut album. The first taster of Kristen’s new songs will be an EP representing her love of Australia and the rural land she grew up on will be coming out in December. The first single called On The Esplanade is out now on radio and iTunes.
04.01.2022 I cannot even begin to thank everyone for their beautiful messages, thoughts, flowers, visits, gifts & even Friday night happy hour. Completely overwhelmed with the support we have received and exited to say I have been discharged today and will continue my recovery at home with my amazing family. Thankyou

03.01.2022 Hey everyone, I just wanted to let you know I’ve had some bad news. 4 weeks ago I was diagnosed with Breast Cancer, I have a long family history of it and has affected my Mum, my sister and now myself. I have the BRACA2 gene mutation and proactively have had 6 month MRI, ultrasound and mammograms. Also taking part in a gene study for 3 years to do my part in helping cure this cruel disease. My last MRI picked up a mass in the right breast and which after biopsies showed a sm...all tumor. An immediate operation was the only option. Last Friday I went into surgery for close to 10 hours and took on one of the hardest days of my life. But I also went in with empowerment, that I have chosen my path and Cancer has not. I’m currently recovering in Lingard hospital with an incredible team Dr Bill Regalo, Dr Kirsten Miteff, Dr Gary Avery & Professor Michael Boyle who I can never thank enough. I will be absent from my music world for a while but my incredible village will keep my gigs and children’s music programs going for me.
