25.01.2022 Navigating yet another lockdown and the reality of weddings being cancelled and postponed again for the foreseeable future is hard. Wedding stationery is my love, its my thing! So Im going to use this time to hone my craft and introduce new and exciting product options. Still all things wedding stationery of course, but Im also thinking of other products I can offer. Perhaps Ill create a new greeting card range, note cards, gift tags?? Today Im trying my hand at creating... a botanical dye from avocado seeds and skin. 22.01.2022 From 11:59 tonight Tuesday 27 October 2020 Metro Melbourne and Regional Victoria will be in line together under third step restrictions regarding weddings. This means that 10 people can attend a wedding, including the couple, 2 witnesses and the celebrant. If there are no new cases across the state for two weeks, weddings will be allowed to host up to 50 people, or 20 in a home. 21.01.2022 Weddings are back and I cant be happier! While theres still restrictions and social distancing guidelines to adhere to, it all seems to be moving in the right direction. For your convenience, Ive done a little research and created a state-by-state breakdown for weddings in Australia for the near future. ACT: The next round of restriction easing (Stage 2.2) will come into effect at 12 noon on Friday 19 June 2020. Wedding ceremonies will be able to have up... to 100 people (excluding those conducting the service or assisting in the conduct of the wedding) or one person per 4 square metres, whichever is lesser. Wedding celebrations should be held in accordance with rules for the hospitality sector. SA: Weddings or religious ceremonies are permitted as long as they adhere to maximum occupancy and density requirements. Density requirements are, that the total number of people at a place must not exceed 1 person per 4 square metres. N.T: Under the new rules, which took effect on Friday 5th of June , there will be no limit as long as social distancing guidelines are adhered to. TAS: From June 17, gatherings will increase to up to 80 people at a time for indoor and outdoor, with physical distancing of 1.5 metres (where practicable) and a maximum of one person per 4 square metres. WA: While ensuring physical distancing, good hygiene and the square metre rule is followed, weddings can have up to 100 people. VIC: From June 22 The state will enter stage two of roll back measures. Weddings increase to 20 people, plus the celebrant and the couple. NSW: Up to 20 people are allowed at weddings in NSW. Those attending will have to provide their name and contact details for contact tracing, if necessary. QLD: Queensland is set to reopen borders on July 10 (yay for elopements and beach weddings) and weddings will now be able to cater for up to 100 people instead of the previous 20 person limit. 20.01.2022 Who has been watching my stories today and thinking what is she up to now? Or is that just my husband wondering? Theres no doubt about it my hyper creative mind operates on a different level. At all hours of the day and night random ideas pop willy-nilly into my mind. But this idea/project was one that just wouldnt go away, and now that the kids are back at school, I decided to bite the bullet and do it! I MADE paper! Yes from scratch and from shredded paper waste. So not only was it super fun but I also felt like a recycling ninja blending up all those scraps and now my mind is chasing more ideas of what I can do with this paper. 17.01.2022 4 reasons I love the process of making my own paper: 1). It’s therapeutic and calming and gives a feeling of satisfaction when creating something from complete scratch. 2). It’s unique and just like making a cake you need a recipe. Switch up the ingredients and you can get a completely different look and feel, which can sometimes be surprisingly beautiful. 3). It allows me to be creative whilst also being sustainable. The paper I make is usually either from existing paper was...te, 100% wood free or a combination of both, thus contributing to a much healthier environment. 4). It’s hands on. It gets me up off my computer and away from my desk. 11.01.2022 Humans are visual creatures and that why I always produce concept/ mock-up designs for my clients. I think its an important step in the process before you arrive at the final, end design. Not only does it allow for the client to imagine what the end result will be, but it also helps show the difference between design elements such as fonts, colours and how they can change the overall look of the design. Ultimately it opens ups communications between myself and my client, its these proofs that allows changes If needed to be made until my clients are completely happy and in love with the design.
