22.01.2022 Hi all and Welcome Thank you for taking the time to pop over and like my new FB page. After a 12 month sabbatical from clinical practice, I am relaunching and rebranding. I am so excited about my new direction and to share with you the concept that is The Wholistic Life.... After a decade and a half working in the field of Naturopathy and applied Psychology, one starts to collate some pretty amazing knowledge and experiences. For those who know me would agree, I am very passionate about what I do and I love nothing more than to share what I know. My aim when creating The Wholistic life was to create a resource to help support and educate individuals as well as families and the community as a collective. Healthy people = happy people = healthy communities = a strong sense of connectedness = respect for self and others and ultimately our planet. Just some of the areas I will be exploring will include; Herbs Wholefoods: why, what and how Recipes Flower essences Low tox home Gardening and permaculture Homesteading Conscious and connected parenting Family rhythms to help you achieve greater peace and calm in your home. 20.01.2022 "Lavandula Angustifolia" Our Lavender in full bloom, marking the entry to our property........just devine!!! Lavender is often referred to as the "mother" of essential oils. ... Lavender's personality is able to care for a multitude of physical and psychological problems and like a mother can accomplish several jobs at the same time. Know for its analgesic, mood-lifting, carminative, antiseptic qualities just to name a few. Unfortunately Lavender is one of the most commonly adulterated essential oils and this adulteration affects the medicinal applications of this magical oil. Adulteration is achieved by - addition of and or substitution with lavandin oil - addition of synthetic linalool and linalyl acetate Why is it adulterated ? to make it cheaper, to make the smell longer lasting and have sweeter notes. This is why I only use and recommend Young Livings Lavender Essential oil. 100% unadulterated, pure, sustainably, and ethically grown. 12.01.2022 Here I am week 2 of Trimester 3, hoping to inspire as well as learn from my latest students. This part I love !!!!!!!! I love sharing and exploring concepts of health and wellbeing with like-minded individuals. Looking at ways to continually grow and support us all on this journey we call life.... The bit I don't like so much the never-ending checks and balances of working at this level and the paperwork, did I mention the paperwork But all in all so very grateful that I have a job that is my passion and allows me to work around and support my family. So thankful.
