19.01.2022 The Blacktides just dropped their latest official film clip "Better The Devil You Know"... This DUO, have the largest, hardest-hitting, fullest sound you will ever hear from a duo. And let's face it, Red and Annette are both "visually appealing" on stage ;) It's pretty hard to beat their amazing energy on stage, and it's even better to meet them off-stage, just two Aussie Larikans lovin' life... FranksDen were absolutely stoked that The Blacktides brought there high energy..., fun loving vibe to the 1st ever KRMF Kilmore Rock Music Festival Saturday 1st February 2020 (just before Covid hit) @ The Old Kilmore Gaol, an 1800's bluestone gaol. The great news is that we've spoken to the venue owner and we can confirm that FranksDen will organise another KRMF Kilmore Rock Music Festival , so please FOLLOW / LIKE and make sure you keep in the loop.. The next KRMF, is going to be bigger, better as we will have more time, as we are already planning for Feb 2021... The question is, whether we can get The Blacktides back again for the next KRMF.... 01.01.2022 Well the innaugrual KRMF Kilmore Rock Music Festival held on Saturday 1st February 2020, (right before Covid19 devasted the entertainment industry worldwide), and Leila and I were happily making final preparations and getting ready for dinner and a camp out in an 1800's heritage listed gaol @ The Old Kilmore Goal... It was certainly a fun experience... I will be honest... After putting on my 1st festival in Australia ( I'd done some good events in Beiing over the 20 years I... lived there)... it wasn't quite the success I had hoped for, and my expectations were high, and my expectations steep, so on a stormy, wet, and (overpriced misunderstood of the local market), the FranksDen crew hosted an amazing line up of local Melbourne rock talent and they all put on an amazing show. When this Covid 19 blows over, and it will... or restrictions ease, and/or we learn to live another way, or whatever, I'm confident that we will put on a 2nd KRMF and I look forward to that day, because no matter what, I still like to put on an awesome party, and KRMF was one of the best I've done, and I couldn't have done it without all the crew and team (too many to list here), and nor without the bands, (and I wont repost all their links, please seek them out, they were all hand-picked and amazingly awesome for the night and hope to host them again).... This video, and some of the extras shows some of the behind scenes fun that goes on when organising a festival, and in this case, a simple meal at the end of another really long day preparing... This is a meal cooked and shared inside the original mess-hall of the 1800's heirtage listed Old Kilmore Gaol... There were even bats flying around... A very amazing experience... :) I couldn't have survived the stress of putting on KRMF without the amazing Leila Simon Boakes at my side and throwing all her amazing positivity and energy at "everything" in life...
