25.01.2022 It was the *most* stunning day in Krondorf yesterday - perfect weather, lovely guests and even James couldn’t help but be out enjoying it! I explained to Jo and Josh that it was a rare thing indeed to be hosted by James in Cellar Door because he’s usually on a tractor but I think the fact that we were hosting tastings outside on the lawn meant he was still happy in his natural environment!

24.01.2022 Friends, we've confirmed our Christmas and New Year opening dates. They are a little bit all over the place this year because Christmas falls on a Friday, so we've created this handy reference image for you! We will be delighted to welcome you and yours over the holiday season, so please do feel free to drop in for a tasting if you find yourself in beautiful Krondorf village. Take care, and Merry Christmas!

24.01.2022 What cold snap? It’s toasty and warm in Cellar Door, Nina Simone is on the stereo and the reds are opens. So lovely to welcome our first guests back from NSW (yah! ) and to spend the day in this special old building introducing new friends to our wines. Fortunate indeed

24.01.2022 / Pausing / Folks, we’ve decided to keep our Cellar Door closed today and enjoy one more day at home together. We hope you understand, and we look forward to welcoming you back to Krondorf again next week. Stay safe everyone

23.01.2022 Pulling up some well weathered #cellartreasures for tonight’s #australianwomeninwine Awards Ceremony. It’s live streamed on Facebook so jump online and watch along with us!

23.01.2022 / / Last weekend / / A slightly bittersweet moment putting the sign out this morning, knowing that this is our last weekend until Cellar Door is sold out and closed for a few months. If you’ve been thinking that a Krondorf trip might be on your radar, let this be the sign (ha!) that you’ve been waiting for. There will be stunning weather for the long weekend and we’re open on the public holiday morning do drop in to cellar door and say g’day. We’d love to host you!

22.01.2022 Krondorf. Gorgeous one day, perfect the next

20.01.2022 So happy to be sharing this beautiful wine with our guests today - our 2018 Cabernet Shiraz blend. A perfect 50/50 and such a gorgeous expression of this classic Australian style. Stocks are running low and we expect to be sold out by late Feb/early March so we thought we’d give it a little shout out while we still have some to shout about!

19.01.2022 There’s something very hypnotic about watching smoke curling its way up an old stone chimney. Perfect with a #knockoffwine of 2018 GSM. Our sincere thanks to the beautiful people who joined us in Cellar Door this weekend - what a pleasure to host you all and share our stories. In a few minutes I will rouse myself to start making dinner and packing lunch boxes but for now, this is perfect. Happy Sunday, all x

17.01.2022 Perfectly suited knock off drink this afternoon - 2018 Shiraz with a little bit of Nina Simone in the background. We’ve had a marvellous and very busy weekend in Cellar Door, with thanks to all who dropped in for a tasting and a chat. We will be closed next weekend for Christmas and then open 1st, 2nd and 3rd January for all your new year red wine desires. Take care, and have a wonderful, safe, joyful Chrissy break. Jess + James

17.01.2022 I’ve been looking forward to this all weekend! My copy of The Rockford Rag arrived during the week and I’ve been saving it up to enjoy with a glass of wine. James and I have been hugely inspired by Rockford’s ethos of connecting directly with their customers, and the annual Rag is the epitome of this relationship. It’s beautifully written, insightful and interesting and I look forward to it every year. Any other Rockford fans out there? Have you received your copy this year?

15.01.2022 Happiness is...... delivering afternoon tea to Dad in the bushvine Grenache after school.

09.01.2022 A gorgeous video that encompasses so much of what we love about our beautiful Barossa. Well done Luke - a fantastic showcase of your skills, and our region.

09.01.2022 Little wisps of smile curling up from the chimney today. We have the fire going in Cellar Door - the perfect accompaniment for a glass of red on this drizzly, grey spring day.

08.01.2022 http:// Long weekend opening hours // This weekend we will be open Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 12pm to 5pm. Please note that we are *closed* on the Monday public holiday in order to celebrate James’ mum’s NINETIETH birthday Theresia has been an unwavering support of Krondorf Creek Farm since its very beginning so we feel it’s the least we can do to take a day to celebrate her and this amazing milestone. Thank you for your understanding everyone, and have a wonderful weekend!

08.01.2022 Long weekend opening hours | Folks, we're open all long weekend, including Monday from 12pm to 5pm. Please do feel free to drop by if you find yourself in beautiful Krondorf; we'd love to introduce you to the very last of our 2018 Wine release.

07.01.2022 Cleaning our a small corner of the shed today looking for props for Krondorf Halloween and we found this beautiful old thing. Anyone out there with fond memories of Glen View Sweet Sherry - the Wine of the Day!

05.01.2022 Our lovely neighbour Trudy lives up on the hill behind our property and just sent me this snap of the stunning sunset over Krondorf village, with our distinctive round-roofed barn in the foreground. The most beautiful little corner of the Barossa

05.01.2022 It was such a pleasure to host this group of excellent younger Barossans this morning - the Barossa Young Ambassadors @yabarossa . We spent the morning talking about history, cultural heritage and the finer points of 19th century Prussian politics. I often say in the Barossa that we don’t stand on the shoulders of giants as much as we stand on the shoulders of six or seven generations of ordinary people who lived out values of community, custodianship, generosity, hospitality and excellence. We get to live and work in an extraordinary part of Australia because of their dedication, commitment and resolve and these young people here will become the custodians of those values in the future. A great morning indeed.

05.01.2022 Nothing happier than a grapevine in the rain

05.01.2022 I'm not sure how these algorithms work (?) but someone in Cellar Door today mentioned that we were the Number 1 Cellar Door to visit in the Barossa, as recommended by Tripadvisor. And blow me down with a feather, they were right..... We are fortunate to receive genuinely beautiful reviews from guests who take the time to leave them and we are so grateful for their contribution to our business. I've taken a screen shot of this because I don't quite believe it's true and I want to remember that for a day or two we were the top of the list!

05.01.2022 A lovely stroll through the vineyard this morning - tasting as we go! - and now a little side-by-side comparison in Cellar Door. Ripe bunches of grapes next to their older siblings!

05.01.2022 A little Public Service Announcement from Jess in Cellar Door - our 2018 Wine Release is on track to be sold out by March. If you've been looking for a sign to re-stock your Cellar, or plan a trip to see us in Cellar Door, this is the sign! :-)

04.01.2022 Well, isn't this exciting?! Some happy news this week, that Jess has been announced as a finalist in the Australian Women in Wine Awards as Cellar Door Person of the Year! These awards recognise the contribution of amazing women all throughout our industry, and the Barossa has been very well represented indeed. Congratulations in particular to our fellow nominees Sam at First Drop Wines and Paris at Arlewood Estate!

01.01.2022 We Mataro, and we know our guests Mataro as well! Last night a friend of our brought around this gorgeous @turkeyflat Mataro from 2014. It’s distinctively different from our lighter, prettier style but for a cool spring night in the Cellar Door with good people it was magnificent. Powerful, elegant Barossa winemaking.
