20.01.2022 Fraser Black Marlin Well here we go, not long now before KRP Fishing embarks on its next fishing adventure and film production. In mid November we are heading off to Fraser Island to film our next DVD production chasing the juvenile Black Marlin that can congregate in numbers in shallow, clear waters on the calm(er) northwest coast. Most people who fish for these Black Marlin usually do so in reasonably sized boats from Hervey Bay. In keeping with our values of presenting sho...ws that capture world class fishing opportunities accessible to any angler, we aim to target these fish from a car topper boat. So a brief overview is to cross over to Fraser Island in a couple of 4wd’s with a car topper boat. Driving to and setting up camp on the banks of Wathumba Creek on northwest coast located in Platypus. For 9 days we plan to target and film mainly the Black Marlin but will also present the other fishing options on offer. As with all our productions we show a lot more than just fishing action and give the viewer all the information they need to complete such a trip themselves. We also plan to cover off on access, camping, equipment, safety, history, wildlife and scenery. For this trip we are teaming up with John Hall and the team at Enlightened Boating who are in the final stages of putting our new fishing rig together. A modern, resin infused fibreglass boat that has to be seen to be believed. More on that later. Brendan Radford and I are pretty excited for the upcoming trip to say the least and we will keep you updated of our progress along the way. Catch ya soon. Ben

10.01.2022 A quick vid of a trip to Lake St Clair to conduct some sea trials of our new 4.1m Ezy Topper ready for our upcoming Fraser Island Black Marlin production. This time the regular crew of Brendan Radford and Shaun Radford were replaced with my 2 rug rats, Hunter and Lucy. As the usual the boat performance was amazing and exceeds all expectations. Anyone looking for a car topper or the heavier trailer versions need to check out the Enlightened Boating Facebook page. Catch Ya Ben.
