15.01.2022 I just started reading Adamant by Lisa Bevere . It's about finding truth in a universe of opinions and I cannot put it down These are uncertain times were living in and with so many influences around us the world is becoming a noisey and confusing place to live in.... I actually found myself overwhelmed and when I am in need of clarity and grounding I always take myself back into my faith. Regardless of your spiritual inclination, if you're feeling overwhelmed with all of this I encourage you to fill your spiritual cup. Because... sometimes the answers you're looking for can't be found in the 'world we know'
09.01.2022 Children really are the best teachers! Who else has learned a lesson or two since being in isolation? We have been self-isolating for 2 weeks, the house is messier and louder which can de-rail me so quickly. But let's not lose ourselves during this time, if your child triggers you and you find yourself feeling frustrated... just take a second to hit pause. Sometimes we need to think about the situation and decide on the best way to respond before we react.... I've learned that so much of what goes on in my house has alot to do with my daughter wanting my attention and my time and that... it is really difficult to 'BALANCE' your time when you are parenting for 100% of it. Here are a few tips that have helped me have a better relationship with my daughter but also kept me productive in my business. Set a daily routine (this will help your childrens return to school as well) this shouldn't be school holidays. Set up play time, learning time, include housework etc. Make your childs lunch and pack it in a lunch box, including a water bottle. Set alarms on your phone for morning tea, lunch, afternoon tea. This will help when your busy as they can feed themselves but also keep them out of the kitchen cudboards. Don't allow your children on technology until 'quiet' time, which is your 'work' time. This will help keep your children quiet and entertained while your working and don't feel bad because they've probably been looking forward to it all day lol! Most imprtantly - set up your own business calendar/schedule and stick to it. Be present with your child during your time together, have fun with them, learn with them. You will both feel better for it and when your work activities have an alloted time in your schedule you won't struggle so much with the 'work/family' balancing act. Let's keep our parenting game strong!
06.01.2022 Two years ago I was a hard and fast #teamnosleep marketer I thought the only way to do well was to hustle 24/7... whose been there? LOL and to top it off, if something didn't fit my agenda **que laptop lifestyle entrepreneurs sipping cocktails on the beach**... You could guarantee I was talking about it, trying to de-bunk it as if it was some sort of threat to my cause You know what that is don't you... it's TALL POPPY SYNDROME. Yep I caught a case folks. It actually took someone to call me on my b.s before I had the a-ha moment that shifted my paradigm. ' The growth is real! So let this be a pep talk you - the reader. There is enough for all of us to win. We DON'T have to cut each other down to SHINE Let's lead with abundance in 2020
