The AIPP (Australian Institute of Professional Photographers) with the War Memorial in Canberra are trying to photograph as many WWII Veterans as possible. 23.01.2022 Today, another portrait of one of our veterans. This delightful lady worked in North Perth in a secret place communicating with the forces in PNG & the South Pacific. Despite being 92, she was sharp and funny and it was an absolute pleasure to take her portrait for future generations to remember. If you think you might have seen her before - she starred in the 'Who's been sleeping in my House'.

22.01.2022 Last week found me back in beautiful Singapore photographing. Sadly, the Indonesia fires hampered the shoot because we couldn't actually see any of the buildings. Such a shame because the skyline in Singapore is so spectacularly beautiful. Despite the horrible skies - I still managed to have a fantastic day shooting in Dempsey Hill (just outside China Town).

21.01.2022 I've just had such a wonderful morning. I spent it photographing World War II Veterans for the AIPP Reflections Project. A worthy cause of trying to photograph all the living WWII Vets before time runs out. Thank you to my beautiful assistant and daughter for volunteering her school holiday time.

17.01.2022 I had the pleasure of photographing the Conquer Cystic Fibrosis Ball 2014 this past weekend. It was so heart warming to see such wonderful generosity from people. I asked one of the lovely volunteers how she came to be at the ball - her response was "one of my colleagues child is affected by Cystic Fibrosis and so a whole bunch of us volunteered our services for the ball". The volunteer's worked all day until the early hours of the morning. Thank god for these wonderful people. It was a beautiful night for sure. 17.01.2022 Shooting in Singapore. They wanted iconic images of gorgeous Singapore with them in it - BUT the fires in Sumatra dashed those idea's! The weather remained soupy and vile most of the time. So we went down to the area of the Buddha Tooth Relic Temple and photographed. Sure, it's hot and humid - but the colours are divine. I love love love Sing.

15.01.2022 It's been a long time since I went to the awards and entered. The last time I did it 2011, I became a finalist for the Family Photographer of the Year - but then I got rather ill and things got put on the back burner. This year, I felt I had some images to show and that I was really proud of. I was very lucky and came away with a Gold, Silver with Distinction and a Silver. Never in my wildest dreams would I have imagined the Gold :)

10.01.2022 Once a year, sometimes once every 2 years I get to photograph my daughters and nieces. Time moves on quickly and they are growing so fast that it's difficult to keep up. We started these portraits, in the same place every year when there was only 4 girls - now we are up to six girls :)
