Our bodies are incredible things that are hell bent on survival, often despite our own efforts. 18.01.2022 It was incredibly disappointing when COVID led to the cancellation of my graduation ceremony in April last year. Yes, I received my degree and certificate, and could finally call myself Dr, which were all amazing! But I didn’t get the chance to wear the floofy hat that comes with a Doctorate degree, which was . Today I received my graduation hat in the mail. Needless to say it went straight on the head! This took many many years of hard work and support from my loved ones. And now I finally have the hat to prove it!

16.01.2022 Today was Day 1 of a Master Class with Patricia Resick herself on the application of CPT for the treatment of PTSD. Hearing the outcomes of the research studies of significant rates of improvement for PTSD after an average of just 8 sessions was inspiring and invigorating! Anyone can be impacted by trauma at any time in their lives. These moments can often come out of the blue and I’m not sure we can ever be prepared for them. Whether we practice avoidance strategies or take time to process these moments in our lives plays a crucial role in who may go on to develop PTSD. CPT helps an individual to harness their most powerful asset - their mind - so that an event or events in their life do not get to dictate the rest of their life.
