21.01.2022 So now things are getting a little real. After almost 2 years of planning we had stalled because of the Development Application. However, we had a successful meeting today with the Shire Planning team and Koomarlin South Equestrian Park is back on the road to success. Exciting times So now things are getting a little real. 12.01.2022 ***UPDATE*** Great news....we now have 2 locations in the city for people to send their donations to. Tully Forknall (FB) in Whiteman Park https://www.facebook.com/louise.butcher.79... Kristy Gray (FB) in Nollamara https://www.facebook.com/kristy.wallace.161 Please contact them via FB to organise pick up or delivery. We now have 8 road trains ready to go in the next 2 weeks pending the logistics, thanks to Shane Shingles of Total Transport Solutions, Joe Castro, Michael Patane and Tom Rose. We have also had people donate clothes and bedding so far also. Need to get more hay, and anything else people wish to donate that can be dispersed fairly at the other end. Please note we are aware of the conditions across the country, are in communication with the relevant authorities and will not be leaving WA until we know we can get to our destination in Eurobodalla. Thanks so much to those that have already donated, let’s keep it going. We also now have a go fund me page to help with the unavoidable cost of fuel to get the trucks over and back Hi All. So sitting here feeling helpless in the west when things are getting desperate in the east, has proven too much for us and we want to provide some help. So Joe and I have organised for hay (at minimum) and potentially some non perishables people wish to donate along with blankets, pillows etc to be taken over to the Eurobodalla Shire. We so far have 1 road train, hay trailers, driver and fuel organised and ready to go along with a second set of trailers, driver and fuel. We are looking for another prime mover along with any other truck/trailer combinations, hay/other produce, fencing supplies or anything helpful people wish to donate. 08.01.2022 Hey Guys, Ok so things are starting to move along nicely here. The new driveway went in over the last 2 days and we are busy laying limestone road base to line it. New front gates going in over the next few days also. The obstacle course design is complete and we will commence building it in the next two weeks also. All fencing has been done with the exception of the yards which are in progress. The arena earthworks are also in progress. Still in conversation with the shir...e regarding the setting up of the camping area but once its approved that will be completed pretty quick. Still not sure on an opening date at this stage. My plans have had a few set backs with the Hay run to the east and now some other complication, but we are moving in the right direction at least. Stay tuned for more info to come See more
