23.01.2022 We had a super fun first week at vacation care! This week, we're looking forward to our Red vs Blue Showdown, a Zone Bowling Excursion, a whole day of fun science experiments, our teddybear workshop and a whole chill day of pizza, board games and movies on Friday!

16.01.2022 Dear Parents & Guardians, The Premier and Chief Health Officer have announced this morning that the Greater Brisbane area (Brisbane council areas, Ipswich, Logan, Moreton Bay and Redlands) will enter a three-day lockdown as a precautionary measure to avoid a potential COVID-19 outbreak. This lockdown will last from 5pm Monday 29th March 2021 to 5pm Thursday 1st April 2021. As schools are open for children of essential workers only, you are required to advise via email to [email protected], which of the following applies to you; 1. I am not an essential worker and my child/ren will not be attending OSHC during the lockdown period. 2. I am an essential worker and my child/ren will be attending OSHC during the lockdown period, per our current bookings. If your child/ren are attending OSHC during this lockdown please ensure you are following the listed protocols: 1. You MUST wear a mask at all times when in the OSHC building. You will be asked to leave if you fail to comply. 2. Sign your child/ren in and exit the building and school grounds immediately. Do not linger unnecessarily. 3. Utilise the hand sanitizer available. We will be following the announcements from the Premier and Chief Health Officer throughout the next few days. Any changes to OSHC and other P&C entities will be communicated via email and our Facebook page. Please direct all OSHC queries to the [email protected], and any other queries to [email protected]. 13.01.2022 Calling all chocolate lovers!! The P&C are kicking off their fundraising activity for 2021 by running a Cadbury Chocolate Drive. We have yummy boxes of Cadbury classics ready for you to sell to your friends, family, colleagues and sporting clubs associations. All proceeds will go back to the P&C to allow them to continue to support the school and its staff to help improve educational outcomes for our children. ... We would love ALL of our KSSS families to assist buy committing to sell one box of our Cadbury chocolates each (and no judgement from us if you just ‘sell’ them to yourselves). There are two boxes to choose from a Goody Box which has 60 of our favourite Cadbury classes, selling at $1 each, or there a box of 60 Freddo and Caramello Koalas, also selling at $1 each. It is a straightforward selling process, and hey, who doesn’t love chocolate? And BONUS all those families that sell a box go into a draw to win one of two amazing prizes a 4.5 kgs bar of Toblerone or a 10 kg block of chocolate!! In order to get your hands on a box, please contact Tilly Cole, P&C Member on [email protected] and include the following details: - Your name and Child’s Class; and - How many boxes you’d like. Don’t forget, there are no calories in charity chocolate!

10.01.2022 Dear Parents and Guardians As you are probably aware, the Greater Brisbane area will go into a three-day lockdown from 5pm today due to community transmission of COVID-19. We are awaiting further advice from the Department of Education regarding whether schools will be open for essential workers as this has an affect on the OSHC Service.... OSHC is open today as normal however if you are not an essential worker please pick up your child/ren by 5pm (where possible). If you are picking your child/ren up after 5pm masks will need to be worn. We endeavour to communicate everything as quickly as possible and hope to hear from the Department of Education and Early Childhood Education and Care soon. 10.01.2022 Seriously, Sunday already!! Where does the time go. I don't know about anyone else, but the idea of packing lunches tomorrow seems unnecessary when wonderful food could easily be ordered at The Lunchbox. Monday specials include Nacho Bowls, Chicken Burgers, butter chicken and my personal favourite "Grilled Haloumi Salad" - I want one now! All the regular favourites are available - check out the menu via the Qkr! app and thanks so much for your support.

05.01.2022 The disco is back! Join us on Friday 26 March for a night of dancing! The theme is CRAZY HAIR so come with your wildest hair do. Treats and food will be available along with a bar for the parents! (Parents need to supervise their children). You can pre-purchase tickets and food via Qkr! Before the night. EFTPOS will also be available on the evening.
