24.01.2022 Vows. For some they come easily and for others they find themselves scrawling them down the morning of the wedding trying to think of the right words to say. Did you know there are actually two different sets of vows? The first vows are legally binding that must include specific wording that your Celebrant will get you to say. The second set of Vows are yours to write and speak. There are no rules for YOUR vows. They can be funny, serious or tear jerking, they can be structur...ed or freestyle and can be as short or as long as you need to express what the person standing in front of you means to you. 19.01.2022 My favourite part of a wedding ceremony are the Vows a couple writes themselves. Because while I try my best to encompass who you both are as a couple, nobody knows your relationship like you do! 11.01.2022 Notice of Intention to marry. Also known as the NOIM. This is one of the most important documents when getting married. It needs to be done no less than 30 days before your wedding date unless you apply for an exemption (to prevent shotgun/drunken woopsies!). It includes all your personal information as well as important things like names, date of births, whether you have been married before and needs vital legal documents like birth certificates, passports and any previous m...arriage Dissolution paperwork. It can feel overwhelming but it’s such an important step in your path to getting married. And your celebrant is there to help you fill it in. 10.01.2022 Paperwork is one of the really important aspects of your wedding day. Birth certificates, photo ID, Notices of Intentions to Marry, paperwork to say if you’ve had a previous marriage, to declare you can legally be married and the all important Marriage Certificate (surprise! There are actually two!). It can be really overwhelming when dealing with the paperwork side of a wedding day, but luckily As your Celebrant, I’m here to walk you though and submit everything you need for a legally binding Marriage. 10.01.2022 In order to have a legal wedding you are required by law to have two signatures to act as witnesses to your wedding ceremony. These witnesses need to be of sound mind, present at your ceremony and at least 18 years of age. As long as those prerequisites are filled, you can pick anyone you like.
