25.01.2022 Anyone that has pulled in to Kulgera for a beer lately will probably have noticed the lack of common beers in the fridge (and spirits on the shelf). That is because we are all about supporting Australian MADE and Australian OWNED. You may or may not be aware that the vast majority of beer in Australia, is currently foreign owned. Not only that, but these foreign companies are using tactics to squeeze out Australian small businesses and Australian owned beers. Here at Kulgera,... we won’t have a BAR of it. We don’t just talk the talk about supporting our own, we walk the walk and drink the drink, and make no apologies for it. We have tried to find suitable alternatives to everyone’s favorites, and hope there is a new beer, wine, cider or spirit that will be your new poison of choice. It hasn’t been easy. Trying to get stuff out bush is hard enough as it is, let alone dealing with small companies, who don’t have the network to get their product out. It has been extremely difficult and costly, but we feel it is worth it, and hope you do too. When you arrive, if you’re not sure what you might like, please talk to one of our friendly staff and see what we can find for you, we are confident there is something for everyone. So come on over, relax and knock the guts out a cold one knowing you are supporting this wonderful country! C U Next Time Chris and the Kulgera team

15.01.2022 Sunrise at Kulgera. It’s a bit windy today and there were a few spots of rain on the walk to work.

08.01.2022 Latest update from Mt Dare

01.01.2022 Update 8.45pm Monday 8 March - The Stuart Highway is now open but there are speed restrictions in place. A crash involving a truck and a Ford utility occurred... on the highway between Pimba and Glendambo about 12.15pm on Saturday 6 March, with both vehicles then catching fire. Sadly, the driver of the Ford ute, a 23-year-old man from the ACT, and a passenger in the truck, a 57-year-old woman from Para Vista, died at the scene. The man driving the truck was airlifted to the Royal Adelaide Hospital in a critical condition. The highway was closed for several days due to the damage to the road surface. Major Crash Investigators flew to the scene from Adelaide to investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash. The two deaths brings the number of lives lost on our roads this year to 20 compared to 17.
