20.01.2022 Thank You to all the people who have offered to help bake and created time in their week to help out with the Clearing Sale Catering this Wednesday! Below is a roster/ list. Please let me know if I’ve stuffed up, I tried my best but have probably missed or put someone down for the wrong thing! TUESDAY DAY - transport and set up all equipment, cool room and drinks to Carmody’s. ... 11.01.2022 On Saturday 12th December our P&C has the privilege of catering for Mr Proud’s 100th birthday. We are calling for people to help by cooking food and also doing shifts in the kitchen on the day. We still require the following : ... 13 dozen sausage rolls (edit taken) 6 large frittatas 6 loaves worth of ‘chicken-celery-walnut-parsley-mayo’ sandwich filling 2 flourless chocolate cakes - (edit taken now) 100 cupcakes frosted ready for a cake topper Shifts in the kitchen: (times flexible) 9am - 11.30am 11.30 - 2.00pm 2.00pm - 5.30pm Please comment below if you can help us out for this very special day. 08.01.2022 Hi everyone, As many of you will already know, the P&C have been asked to provide catering at the Carmody Clearing Sale on Wednesday 23rd September. This is a great opportunity for our school to raise some funds so if you are able to help in any way please text Sarah Gangell on 0429801578. We need:... helpers from 5.30pm Tuesday 22nd at FRC to cut up salad for rolls. helpers from 7.30am to 8.30/9.00am to put rolls together at the FRC. people to make slices, biscuits or cakes. If these could be pre-cut in named containers please and either taken directly to the sale or left at the FRC Tuesday or Wednesday morning. helpers to transport food and equipment to the clearing sale around 9am and help set up and serve food and drinks from 9.30am to 4pm. The busiest time is anticipated to be from 11am to 12.30pm so if you aren't available to stay until 4pm that's ok! Just come and help for as long as you are able. 05.01.2022 I know the situation around our public schools has been causing angst for parents, teachers, staff and students. I understand that it may be confusing, but we’...ve kept them open, consistent with the best medical advice at hand through the National Cabinet process. Today, as the pandemic situation moves forward, we move to the next step. Firstly, from Monday, March 30, we will now encourage parents to keep children at home if they can, and access the online learning resources we have made available. However, all children who do attend public schools will continue to be taught. Where parents need children to attend school to enable them to maintain employment, and for those children in vulnerable families, like children living with grandparents, they are encouraged to continue to attend school. Public schools will remain open from Monday, March 30 to Friday, April 3. In addition, formal classes will now finish at the end of Friday, April 3, one week earlier than planned. Teachers and education assistants will now use this time to plan and prepare for a new way of teaching from the start of Term 2, with work continuing through the school holidays. However, arrangements will be in place in schools to supervise children who need to attend school on the last four days prior to Easter, where parents require it to maintain their employment, or due to a personal situation. It is crucial for us to strike the right balance between keeping the community safe, allowing essential services to continue and provide a quality education to our students in this difficult time. I want to reassure parents that our schools are well prepared to continue to provide education for their children. Thank you to the parents and carers of Western Australian children for their understanding and support for school staff as we navigate our way together through this unprecedented situation. And thank you to our teachers, education assistants and all school staff for the essential work they do across our State. This is an incredibly difficult situation, thank you for your patience, and we will let you know about plans for Term 2 as soon as possible.
