22.01.2022 A clinical trial in Cuba is testing the effectiveness of a new homeopathic product for prevention of COVID-19, but homeopathy research in Cuba is nothing new. I...n this fascinating interview (filmed at HRI Barcelona 2013), vaccine expert Dr Campa Huergo explains her work in developing similar products, including a 2007 study by her team which found that a homeopathic product given to 2.3 million Cubans successfully halted a life-threatening leptospirosis epidemic. https://bit.ly/HomeopathyCuba https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/20674839

20.01.2022 Release of NHMRC Homeopathy Review 2012: Questions and Answers: http://bit.ly/NHMRC_Q_A

18.01.2022 Homeopathy, whilst most definitely a medicine for our future - was also fantastic in the past too... Medicine that stands the test of time. #TryHomeopathy... www.britishhomeopathic.org (John S. Haller, The History of American Homeopathy: The Academic Years: 1820-1935.p187)

11.01.2022 **WIN** **NEWS ALERT** Due to overwhelming public pressure and increased scrutiny, the NHMRC have just released the first draft report on homeopathy! And like w...e have said all along, it was a good quality report which should never have been quashed and replaced with the report that is now under investigation by the Commonwealth Ombudsman. For over three years NHMRC have refused to release their 2012 draft report on homeopathy, despite Freedom of Information requests and even requests by members of the Australian Senate. To see this document finally seeing the light of day is a major win for transparency and public accountability in research. Rachel Roberts, HRI Chief Executive In a covering statement, NHMRC CEO Prof Anne Kelso also provided clarification on the findings of their 2015 Homeopathy Review, stating that, Contrary to some claims, the review did not conclude that homeopathy was ineffective" This is a win for both #ReleaseTheFirstReport and #YourHealthYourChoice campaigns, steered by the AHA in collaboration with HRI. A big thank you to #JustOneDrop film for also raising public awareness. But best of all this is a victory for the tens of thousands of supporters of homeopathy worldwide! People power

07.01.2022 The glory days of homeopathy in Melbourne. Considering the struggle of the current Australian homeopathic situation you may be surprised to know that Homeopathy... was so popular by 1876 that the Melbourne Homeopathic Hospital in St Kilda Rd was built, complete with nurses' home. This was initiated by a committee of fifteen prominent women under the patronage of Lady Bowen, wife of Governor of Victoria. These women later amalgamated with the Melbourne Homeopathic Dispensary committee, which contributed to formation of Martin & Pleasance (Charles Pleasance was elected as the first Lord Mayor of Melbourne). Martin & Pleasance, while no longer owned by the Pleasance family, is still providing quality homeopathic remedies 164 years later! This hospital serviced the community until the advent of antibiotics, and in 1934 it became Prince Henry's hospital and now, ironically, the Monash Medical Centre (now at a different address as the original building has been demolished). Six months before the Homeopathic Hospital ceased, it was noted to have treated one million patients! Around the world homeopathy is still thriving with Homeopathic hospitals in the UK, Germany, Spain and India. State Library of Victoria sourced from Barbara Armstrong and Martin & Pleasance
