22.01.2022 To put it simply, a vinyl wrap is a self-adhesive skin that is directly installed onto the paintwork of a vehicle. Vinyl wraps are dry applied using a heat gun to soften and conform the material around the car, specialist application tools are also used to trim, tuck and neatly finish off the edges. Vehicle wraps may offer some protection to the paintwork, but this is not it’s primary roll.... The main 2 reasons for getting a vinyl wrap are for commercial advertising or an aesthetic colour change. A vinyl wrap can be a printed graphic, it can also be a pre-coloured film. I grew up going to ‘show n’ shines’ and drag meets and dad has always made sure his family were involved, these memories make up a large part of my happy childhood. Dad’s passion for building motors and fervent work ethic has been the inspiration for me to get into the wrap industry. I love that I can now contribute to my dad’s racing and show off his amazing builds with a unique wrap. ... It’s been an extra special weekend as it’s my brothers first time to race the Capri; which was a car my dad bought when I was 5 years old for $600 out of the backyard of a retiree.
