24.01.2022 Day 9 in the Push-Up Challenge and Wojtek has continued to achieve the set daily goals. He's also been extremely grateful to those who have supported Headspace on the our team's page. It's amazing! As the last few days have passed, each Push Up amount has had a connection to mental ill health statistics in Australia. For example, the 180 push ups on Day four were linked to the total economic cost of mental ill health in Australia: 180 billion. The Day 6 goal of 169 push ups ...was for the 169 Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders who died by suicide in 2018. The Day 8 goal of 148 push ups was for the 14.8% of Australians are living with sleep disruption symptoms severe enough to be classified as chronic insomnia. There is a relationship between poor sleep and poor mental health. Today's goal of 201 push ups was for 20.1% of Australians who are living with ill mental health at any given time. These are very sobering statistics and cause for us all to learn more about mental ill health.

23.01.2022 3 days in and The Push-Up Challenge is going well. Wojtek has been trying to exceed the daily goals to establish consistency. He has also been reflecting on some of the stats associated with mental health issues in Australia. Yesterday's goal, 171, was connected to 17.1% of Australians who received a prescription for mental health medication in 2018-2019 FY. Today's target, 155 push ups, is connected to the estimated 15.5% of young LGBTIQA+ Australians who have made a non-fat...al suicide attempt at some point in their lives. Among trans people, that number rises to almost 50%. Very sobering. It gives me more motivation for Wojtek's push ups, which are dedicated to all affected.

23.01.2022 Looking forward to seeing everyone at Kumataka Online starting Tuesday 28th April!
