25.01.2022 #pinkupyourtown The PINK DRUMS are out in force this year... If it’s not too windy we’ll have some lovely umbrellas in them to provide a bit of shade... ... The drums sure look pretty & brighten the place up & their MAIN PURPOSE is for standing or sitting at, as we have to S P R E A D O U T this year (covid ) Also, (probably more importantly), to raise awareness of #pinkupyourtown , an initiative of the McGrath Foundation to raise funds for local BREASTCARE NURSES to support those dealing with breast cancer...

23.01.2022 Hi everyone Post Race Day.... There’s been reports of a number of people becoming unwell after our Race Day.... ME INCLUDED!!!! (not funny...)... We are VERY VERY sorry to hear this!! There are rumours flying around that these people were sick because of food poisoning. Please be assured that this is DEFINITELY NOT the case. There is a bout of highly contagious & aggressive vomiting and diarrhoea virus circulating the South Burnett at present... including our schools & local businesses... There are people who have been sick and off work, who have had NOTHING TO DO WITH OUR RACE DAY..... Read that again.... Again, we are really sorry that the possible spreading of this VIRUS & our event seemed to possibly co-incide...... Can you see how the likes of COVID-19 can spread quickly, quietly and undetected now???? And just how IMPORTANT our contact tracing strategies were on the day?? Again... THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU, for attending our Race day, doing the whole COVID -19 thing & supporting us... (& of course having a great day, all at the same time!!) WE APPRECIATE YOU ALL!! I personally have been sick for 3 DAYS!!! But I’m ok now.... Hope you are too!!!!
