24.01.2022 Who else can see the funny side of this?

23.01.2022 In Flanders Fields BY JOHN MCCRAE In Flanders fields the poppies blow... Between the crosses, row on row, That mark our place; and in the sky The larks, still bravely singing, fly Scarce heard amid the guns below. We are the Dead. Short days ago We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow, Loved and were loved, and now we lie, In Flanders fields. Take up our quarrel with the foe: To you from failing hands we throw The torch; be yours to hold it high. If ye break faith with us who die We shall not sleep, though poppies grow In Flanders fields. Lest we forget

17.01.2022 Tip 3 Photographer selection When selecting a photographer there are a number of things to consider. 1. Budget- The photos that are taken on the day will be a record of your special day for the rest of your life, whilst all photographers can take photos, some photographers are artists and will often turn ordinary photos into extraordinary with the use of light and situation... 2. Rapport with the photographer when you have a natural rapport with the photographer the photos will be more comfortable and as such will have a more natural feel 3. Colour and style- whilst all photographers will take photos in the location of your choice, some photographers are more comfortable taking photos in certain locations than others. Photographers also have a preferred colour palate that their finished photos will have, so select a photographer that uses a colour palate that is pleasing to your eye.

16.01.2022 We currently have availability on the 14th and 21st November 2020, if anyone is looking for dates later this year

16.01.2022 With the covid 19 virus going from strength to strength and the new restrictions that come into force from lunchtime today. Kumbogie Woolshed will be unable to host any functions at this time, until these measures are lifted We are so disappointed for our couples that have been working towards their dream wedding for over 12 months, but fully understand that in the nation's best interests this needs to happen We will be contacting couples that have weddings in the near futur...e, to work with them to see how we can reschedule your special day. It might seem like postponing your day might seem like a long way away, but just remember that most people we deal with think that 12 months to plan their wedding is a long time away and always comment on their wedding day, it only seems like yesterday they were out booking the venue. Take care of each other, stay safe and we will see you all on the flip side and remember to support small businesses where you can, they are hurting right now.

13.01.2022 Happy anniversary to a special couple that used Kumbogie Woolshed to celebrate their wedding. https://m.facebook.com/story.php

07.01.2022 COVID -19 Update 1st June 2020 With the relaxing of some of the COVID-19 lockdown conditions, Kumbogie Woolshed is hopeful that we may see a more normal wedding season come Spring. From today you can now have 20 at your wedding (not quite enough for most couples) This has prompted us to review our ability to postpone weddings. ... We want to provide our customers with as much certainty and flexibility as we can. So at this time we are allowing couples that have existing bookings with Kumbogie Woolshed prior to the 31st August 2020, that wish to change their planned date, you can transfer your booking and all monies paid as a credit to the new date. Credits can be used for bookings for a date up to 12 months from the original date. This is how it works: Wedding credit must be requested by 15th July 2020. Wedding credits are valid for a 12-month period from the original wedding date. We will work with the couple to provide a date within our available dates We'll waive any additional charges for any increase in venue hire fee. Weddings with dates after the 31st August will need to proceed as booked or couples can choose to cancel, with the normal cancellation T & C’s We will review this on the 30th June whilst the COVID 19 situation continues to unfold Thank you for your understanding in these difficult times. 03.01.2022 Tip 1 :Booking your important vendors When planning a wedding it is important to ensure that you have a number of vendors available on your preferred date, before locking in a date with any one of the vendors. Our suggestion is to ensure you can lock in your venue, photographer and hair and makeup. These vendors can only do one wedding per day, where other vendors can possibly do multiple weddings a day... Have a great weekend, and happy mothers day for Sunday

01.01.2022 Tip 2 Ceremony time What time should we get married? People often have 3pm in their mind as the time their ceremony should be held.... Whilst this works for some of the year, it is better to work with your photographer to determine the best time. You need to consider what time sunset is at the time of year you are getting married. Remember daylight savings, how long the photographer needs for formal and family photos, work back from sunset and there is the best time for your ceremony. Don’t forget to get the caterer to make up appetisers for the bridal party. Let us know if there is any questions you might have
